A Tribute To A Lost Friend - Rest In Peace Kevin If You can please donate to his family however much you can: https://www.gofundme.com/2d54adms (A Letter To Kevin) Yesterday afternoon I was coming home and I get a text from Jeremy Brown that something may have happened to Kevin Canavan. Immediately in that moment I prayed...prayed harder for anything that I could have prayed for previously in my life. I get home and I see that he has been missing for a day and I continued to pray. I went to bed praying one more time holding out hope for Kevin to be ok for we have been through a lot together and he has always come out on top continuing on with life. Then i get a phone call telling me that there was an update and immediately I rushed to my computer to see what was the news and to my dismay I read that Kevin, my brother, my friend was found deceased. For a the longest I did not want to believe it and for about 10 minutes I just stared at my computer screen thinking that this was all some misunderstanding, but that was not the case. I do not know what happened to you Kevin, but nothing could justify this horrible reality. Nothing could have taken you down, one of the strongest and persevering people that i know. I've broken down more times then I could count but this is something that i have to tell you Kev. Kevin, There was so much that I had to tell you, so much that I wanted to do with you, so much we wanted to accomplish together. You have been there for the ups and the downs. You have been there to give me advice when I felt that i had no one else to turn to. I came to college not sure what to expect and who to meet and by the grace of God i was able to meet you. You're light shined bright in my life and i couldn't have been more happy to share with you anything that happened to my life. And it pains me to see you pass like this. You're future was so bright and you would tell me what you wanted to do in the future. We always messed around with each other and could bounce back from anything that we went through. When I think about college and my time here I think of the people I surrounded myself with and you along with Jeremy Brown are the first two people to pop up in my head. I still have not come to terms with the fact that we are not going to walk together during graduation and go into the world to adventure together. I wish i knew you before college but I want to thank you for gracing me with you're existence, for all the good times and bad and the support you provided me. We always joked about how you would be Uncle Kevin to my kids and I would Uncle Tochi to yours. Once I get to that point in my life, i will tell my kids the awesome adventures that we had together. I know this is not goodbye and that we will see each other again but that does not take away from the fact that we are all grieving and hurting for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain of those you left behind; your parents, your younger sister, younger brother and older brother. But I will try my best to support them through this grievous time that they are going through. You were a friend, brother, leader and influencer and you will not be forgotten. I love you Kevin Canavan and you will always be in my heart until my last breath. (This by far is the hardest video that I have ever had to make and I hope all of you can take a moment of silence for the life of Kevin and the impact that he had on those around him.)
