Our musical year comes to a climax with our annual performance at The Bridgewater Hall. This year we are delighted that the up and coming young Venezuelan conductor, Ilyich Rivas, will conduct a concert which includes the combined choirs of Chetham’s and St George’s Singers.
The concert opens with some of the most cherished opera choruses ever written, followed by a performance of Nielsen’s Flute Concerto by one of our outstanding final year students, Mina Middleton. Its culmination sees the massed forces of CSO performing Mahler’s pastoral and ultimately triumphant, First Symphony.
'Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra left everyone at Cheltenham Festival Proms in bliss.'
