Android device updates: Shield Android TV gains Plex server support, HTC pledges Nougat updates

The set-top box got some nice updates in a week that was slow on new software for existing devices, but saw big news with the announcement that Android N will be called Nougat.

There’s also support for HDR (high dynamic range) Netflix, Vudu 4K videos, and several other under-the-hood improvements. The update is available now.
