Bonkers - I Oughta Be In Toons VHS

This description was originally taken from the description I wrote for the copy I uploaded to MySpleen a couple of months ago. I meant to publish this after I originally uploaded it to that site but completely forget until I went through all my uploads tonight. I do not own anything, all copyrights belong to Walt Disney Home Videos, Walt Disney Televison Animation, Buena Vista Television, Buena Vista Home Entertainment and all affliates and subsidaries of the Walt Disney Company. This is one of only two VHS tapes of Disney's Bonkers released in Australia, the other being Going Bonkers. This tape has trailers for upcoming Disney releases on VHS in early 1997 including Aladdin and The King Of Thieves (with live action footage of Robin Williams recording the Genie RIP) and Muppet Treasure Island plus an extremely rare promo for both volumes of Bonkers available on VHS in Australia. There's an interesting story behind this tape if I may digress. I got badly rejected by a girl I liked the night before and to drown my sorrows, I decided to go to a thrift store to look for VHS tapes to buy so I could get my mind off what happened and focus on something else. I was browsing through what was available at one of them and I almost fainted when I was this tape in mint condition for only 50c. I was feeling generous at the time because of what happened and I told staff that I would pay them $10 for that video which was a 2000% markup on the original price. I still knew I was getting a bargain because to buy this video anywhere else would have cost $50-60. They had to get a manager to override the price but all of the staff thought it was one of the kindest and most generous donations to charity they'd ever seen. This is a reconstruction of the tape as I originally bought it that day. Unfortunately, even though I bought it in mint condition, it hasn't managed to stay that way a year later. I've watched it and attempted to record it to my computer so many times, the first several minutes of the tape are badly degraded and have a lot of visual tracking errors and audio dropouts. I even had the very ill-advised idea of taking the tape apart in order to fix the film (please don't ask why I did this, I don't know why either). I noticed that the trailers for this tape were present on a lot of Disney VHS releases from early 1997 so I copied the start of my copy of Heavyweights which had the first two trailers and then edited them together with the original promo ad and both episodes.
