Krishnarajapura is a suburb of Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located 15 Kilometers from Banglore city railway station on Old Madras Road (NH4).
The Krishnarajapuram constituencey representative in the state of Karnataka was represented by Nandish Reddy who is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Krishnarajapuram has one of the largest number of educational institutions in Bangalore. A lake called Yengaianna kere is in the area. The Yellammappa Shetty lake, situated just outside the eastern limits of Krishnarajapura, is the largest lake in Bangalore.
Krishnarajapuram is located at the junction of Old Madras Road and Outer Ring Road. Krishnarajapuram Railway station falls on the Bangalore - Chennai broad gauge line. The cable bridge on the junction of Old Madras Road and Outer Ring Road was built by Afcons for IRCON and inaugrated by then Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2003 and was subsequently declared as the Most Outstanding National Bridge by the Indian Institution of Bridge Engineers.
