Buckingham/Nicks had been dropped by Polydor Records and she and Buckingham were not getting along.

A landslide or landslip is a geological phenomenon which includes a wide range of ground movement, such as rockfalls, deep failure of slopes and shallow debris flows, which can occur in offshore, coastal and onshore environments. Although the action of gravity is the primary driving force for a landslide to occur, there are other contributing factors affecting the original slope stability. Typically, pre-conditional factors build up specific sub-surface conditions that make the area/slope prone to failure, whereas the actual landslide often requires a trigger before being released.
Landslides occur when the stability of a slope changes from a stable to an unstable condition. A change in the stability of a slope can be caused by a number of factors, acting together or alone. Natural causes of landslides include:

Slope material that becomes saturated with water may develop into a debris flow or mud flow. The resulting slurry of rock and mud may pick up trees, houses and cars, thus blocking bridges and tributaries causing flooding along its path.

The search and rescue operation for seven miners missing after a landslide in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region continued into a second day on Tuesday. The landslide happened at about 08:00 Monday in Pingle County, Guilin City, while 17 miners were working at the site. One of the 17 has been confirmed dead, while nine managed to escape and seven remained missing as of Tuesday. The search and rescue operation for seven miners missing after a landslide in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region continued into a second day on Tuesday.
The landslide happened at about 08:00 Monday in Pingle County, Guilin City, while 17 miners were working at the site. One of the 17 has been confirmed dead, while nine managed to escape and seven remained missing as of Tuesday.
Rescuers have been rushing to move rocks in order to access a cave where they believe the seven miners are trapped.
A nephew of one missing miner said the landslide happened all of a sudden.
"I heard a loud sound at 08:14 and when I turned around, it collapsed. When I called my uncle at 08:15, I could not get through," he said.
One of the men who managed to escape said the miners were inspecting a cave for future exploitation.
He added that he sensed something unusual right before the landslide and called for the miners to run outside.
The vice head of Pingle County, Li Jun, said the rescuers had three main priorities on Tuesday.

Although the basic pattern is fairly simple, there are a lot of nuances as the song progresses along. In this acoustic guitar lesson I'll attempt to combine the 4 acoustic guitar parts into something you can play on one. The guitar I'm playing here is an Ovation Balladeer. I've owned this guitar a long time. The strings are Elixir phosphor bronze 12-53 with nanoweb coating. The Quick Clay Landslide at Rissa - 1978 (English commentary)
On the 29th of April 1978, a quick clay landslide devastated large areas of the rural district of Rissa I mid-Norway. One person died whilst 13 farms; 2 homes; a cabin and a community centre were taken by the clay masses. Five to six million cubic metres of clay collapsed from an area of 330,000 m2 leaving a 1.5 kilometre slide face. The landslide caused great material damage to the community of Leira when a resulting three-metre high floodwave breached the opposite bank of lake Botnen shortly after the main slide. This is such a great solo! Lindsey Buckingham makes it look easy, but it's actually quite tricky to play! The guitar I'm playing here is a Taylor 214ce koa deluxe. I really like this guitar, it intonates amazingly well and it's tone is very balanced. It's also very easy to play.
The strings are Elixir phosphor bronze 12-53 with nanoweb coating. These strings are a little bit more expensive, but for me they easily last 4-5 times longer than non-coated strings.

On the 29th of April 1978, a quick clay landslide devastated large areas of the rural district of Rissa I mid-Norway. One person died whilst 13 farms; 2 homes; a cabin and a community centre were taken by the clay masses.
Five to six million cubic metres of clay collapsed from an area of 330,000 m2 leaving a 1.5 kilometre slide face. The landslide caused great material damage to the community of Leira when a resulting three-metre high floodwave breached the opposite bank of lake Botnen shortly after the main slide.
The Rissa landslide was caught on 8 mm cinefilm by two film amateurs. This is still used actively in avalanche preventative and educational work.

In this made-for-TV thriller, Bob Boyd (Anthony Edwards) is an amnesia-stricken geologist assigned to do a survey in the small town where he was a victim in the car crash that resulted in his memory loss. Knowing that he may not have the same name as before, and that his disfigured face has been changed by cosmetic surgery, Boyd realizes he may be a stranger to those who may have known him. When he begins poking around to find out about the incident, the geologist becomes entangled in a family feud between the Mattersons, rich landowners who run the town, and their rivals the Trinavants, who lost two of their family members in the crash and who own land that the Mattersons desperately want to develop on. Was Boyd a member of the Trinavant family, was he an assassin hired to kill them, or was he someone else with the misfortune of being in the crash? And whom can he truly trust to provide him with the right answers? As he digs deeper in his search for the truth, Boyd becomes entangled with women in both families, the Matterson mob begin to make physical threats against him, and he finally begins to uncover the truth about the terrible events that left him physically and emotionally scarred. Despite its made-for-TV look, Landslide is a well-made, suspenseful film with some engaging twists and turns. The movie also features Melody Anderson (Flash Gordon) and Joanna Cassidy (Blade Runner). Kudos to screenwriter Peter Palliser (adapting Desmond Bagley's novel) for not wrapping up everything cleanly but for leaving lingering questions at the end.
