We were able to video two penguins returning from fishing in the sea all day. They swim about 7-10 miles out to sea every day to fish. At Roaring bay there is a hut (on the hill looking down to the beach) that you get to hide in while waiting to spot them returning at dusk. I have to say it was pouring rain, very windy and very cold the evening we ended up here. By the time we left we were soaked to the skin but it was well worth it. By the way the penguin poops right after: Is she looking?

Kaka Point is a small settlement at the northern edge of The Catlins, an area of the southern South Island of New Zealand. It is located 14 km.south of Balclutha and 8 km. north of the headland of Nugget Point. It has a seasonally fluctuating population, and there are numerous batches (holiday homes) at the settlement. It has a permanent population of about 150. The settlement's best known resident was Māori poet Hone Tuwhare, who lived in Kaka Point for many years until his death in early 2008. Kaka point is known for the New Zealand Kākā bird, whose signature call is "ka-aa."

An unnamed Turkish official has confirmed the nationalities of the three men who carried out Tuesday’s deadly attack on Istanbul’s airport as Russian, Uzbek and Kyrgyz nationals, Turkish media and officials told various media outlets.Turkey believes Islamic State militants were behind the suicide gun and bomb attack killing 43 and wounding more than 230 people – many of them airport workers, BBC News reported Thursday....

The Rosetta probe will be crash-landed on Comet 67P on Friday 30 September, the European Space Agency has confirmed. The manoeuvre, which is expected to destroy the satellite, will bring to an end two years of investigations at the 4km-wide icy dirt-ball. Flight controllers plan to have the cameras taking and relaying pictures during the final descent. Sensors that "sniff" the chemical environment will also be switched on ... @BBCAmos. ....
