Recorded live via NASA feed. Total Solar Eclipse from Woleai, Micronesia, a tiny Atoll in the Pacific ocean.
On March 9 2016 a large area of the Pacific, covering Indonesia, Malaysia, but also large parts of South-East Asia and Australia witnessed a partial solar eclipse. It was a total in Indonesia and the central Pacific, starting at sunrise over Sumatra and ending at sunset north of Hawaii. In the Eastern Pacific Ocean the totality will exceed a duration of more than 4 minutes.
This time lapse video, shows my experience from the total solar eclipse happening last November. You can see from the begging of the trip and the initial observing location at Port Douglas where clouds we persistent, up to the final location close to Palmer River Roadhouse. It was a wonderful experience beeing there under the pitch dark skies of Australian outback waiting for the eclipse to happen!

Solar eclipse
As seen from the Earth, a solar eclipse is a type of eclipse that occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, and the Moon fully or partially blocks ("occults") the Sun. This can happen only at new moon, when the Sun and the Moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth in an alignment referred to as syzygy. In a total eclipse, the disk of the Sun is fully obscured by the Moon. In partial and annular eclipses, only part of the Sun is obscured.
If the Moon were in a perfectly circular orbit, a little closer to the Earth, and in the same orbital plane, there would be total solar eclipses every month. However, the Moon's orbit is inclined (tilted) at more than 5 degrees to the Earth's orbit around the Sun (see ecliptic), so its shadow at new moon usually misses Earth. Earth's orbit is called the ecliptic plane as the Moon's orbit must cross this plane in order for an eclipse (both solar as well as lunar) to occur. In addition, the Moon's actual orbit is elliptical, often taking it far enough away from Earth that its apparent size is not large enough to block the Sun totally. The orbital planes cross each other at a line of nodes resulting in at least two, and up to five, solar eclipses occurring each year; no more than two of which can be total eclipses. However, total solar eclipses are rare at any particular location because totality exists only along a narrow path on the Earth's surface traced by the Moon's shadow or umbra.

Images captured immediately before and during the umbra phase of the total solar eclipse on March 9, 2016 reveals a series ofl planetary objects to the upper right of photos. The images were captured while on an Alaska Airlines flight 870 from Anchorage to Honolulu. The images suggest the presence of a planetary body and moon complex (Nibiru-Planet X) in proximity to the sun. The Total Solar Eclipse festival was held on the upper outskirts of Palu, Sulawesi, Indonesia ~ 7th to 11th March 2016. The total solar eclipse occurred at 8:28am, 9th March. The organisers - Interstellar - pulled off the incredible, despite all the challenges of organising a festival of this nature in Sulawesi. They did a fantastic job in bringing incredible people together to create this wonderful festival. History was made... this being the first electronic music festival to have been created on this part of our planet, and its a true honour to be a part of it.
