The Knesset (Hebrew: הַכְּנֶסֶת [haˈkneset]; lit. the gathering or assembly; Arabic: الكنيست al-K(e)neset) is the unicameral national legislature of Israel. As the legislative branch of the Israeli government, the Knesset passes all laws, elects the President and Prime Minister (although the latter is ceremonially appointed by the President), approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. In addition, the Knesset elects the State Comptroller. It also has the power to waive the immunity of its members, remove the President and the State Comptroller from office, dissolve the government in a constructive vote of no confidence, and to dissolve itself and call new elections. The Prime Minister may dissolve the Knesset. However, until an election is completed, the Knesset maintains authority in its current composition. The Knesset is located in Givat Ram, Jerusalem.

There was déjà vu in the Knesset on Wednesday. Six years after the plenum devolved into chaos in a discussion of Joint List MK Haneen Zoabi’s presence on the Mavi Marmara challenging the Gaza blockade, the same thing happened again when the Knesset debated the government’s normalization agreement with Turkey and Zoabi called IDF commandos “murderers.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit to examine possible ways to remove Zoabi from the Knesset, saying “her actions and lies crossed every line and her place is not in the Knesset.” MKs swarm Knesset podium yelling condemnations of Joint List lawmaker Haneen Zoabi and attempt to remove her from the stand.
The State of Israel was founded on the basis of ethnic cleansing and ethnic supremacy. Its legal system and its parliament are the cornerstone of the Israeli apartheid system. These days the veneer of democracy is fading away and we can easily witness the clear examples of supremacy, fascism and apartheid (which were there all along but not as explicit). My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land. Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity. In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. A rocket attack drill was simulated Tuesday morning at the Israeli Knesset. According to the drill's scenario two rockets hit the plenum area as well as the southern area of the Knesset and as a result, casualties were evacuated to the hospitals. Knesset Speaker Rubi Rivlin called the Knesset's Secretary and Security Officer for an urgent consultation, in which it was decided to move all Knesset Members and debates to the alternative residence located at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem. The "first debate" opened at the alternative residence at 12pm, during which the Knesset Speaker reviewed the performance of all those involved in the drill, according to the simulated scenarios.
Daddy was always an honest man
He spoke with his heart and helped with his hands
There wasn't a stranger he didn't soon know
I watched him build bridges wherever he'd go
Daddy was a farmer, always out in the field
We never had money, but there was always a meal
He counted his blessings and the Bible he read
I'll never outgrow the words that he said
CHORUS:
If I possessed all the wealth in the world
It would not be enough to survive
When I look in the eyes of my children and wife
I can see I've been given the finer things in life
Now I'm a daddy with two little ones
The first a shy princess, then a curious son
Well, they never knew their Grandpa too well
But his message of love I'll continue to tell
(CHORUS)
