Daniil Yakovlevich Khrabrovitsky (Russian: Даниил Яковлевич Храбровицкий; June 28, 1923, Rostov-on-Don – March 1, 1980, Moscow) was a Soviet scriptwriter and film director.
Taming of the fire (Russian: Укрощение огня) is a 1972 film, directed by Daniil Khrabrovitsky and starring Kirill Lavrov.).
The Vasilyev Brothers' State Prize of RSFSR was awarded to actor Lavrov for his performance in the leading role. The film also received several awards at various festivals in Europe and Soviet Union, including the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival Crystal Globe Award (1972).
Epic film in two episodes, based on a true story of creation and development of Russian space and missile industry. Due to secrecy demand, all names were altered in the script, although most of the characters are easily recognizable. Sergei Korolev was prototype for the lead character Bashkirtsev, played by Kirill Lavrov.
Episode 1. He is obsessed with flying since his youth. Bashkirtsev's career takes shape after his meeting with visionary space scientist Tsiolkovsky (played by Smoktunovsky). Before the World War II he develops the first rockets and builds a launch center in Central Russia. Then he makes the "Katyusha" weapon and takes it to the front-lines of World War II. In spite of his arrest and imprisonment, he continues working on rocket design. He is released from prison upon his request to fight in the front-lines against the Nazis.
Kirill Yuryevich Lavrov (Russian: Кири́лл Ю́рьевич Лавро́в; September 15, 1925 – April 27, 2007) was a well-known Soviet and Russian film and theatre actor and director.
Kirill Yuryevich Lavrov was born on September 15, 1925, in Leningrad, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia). He was baptized by the Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Divine in Lavrushinskoe Podvorie Monastery in Leningrad. Young Kirill Lavrov was brought up in Leningrad, in a family with deep roots in St. Petersburg society. He was fond of literature and theatre from his young age, and was exposed to a highly stimulating intellectual environment in his family. He was also a good sportsman: he took gymnastics, fencing, and was a member of the youth football (soccer) team at "Spartak" sports club in Leningrad.
His maternal grandmother, Olga Leonidovna Lykoshina, was related to writer Aleksandr Griboyedov and belonged to Polish Nobility. His grandfather, Sergei Vasilyevich Lavrov, was Director of Gymnasium of the Imperial Humanitarian Society in St. Petersburg; he emigrated to Belgrade after the Russian Revolution of 1917, and died there in 1934. Kirill Lavrov's paternal grandmother, Elizaveta Akimovna, refused to emigrate and stayed home in Petrograd with her children. In 1919, his father, Yuri Sergeevich Lavrov, became an actor at the Bolshoi Drama Theatre (BDT) in St. Petersburg where his stage costumes were designed by the legendary theatrical artist Alexandre Benois. His mother, Olga Ivanovna Gudim-Levkovich, was also an actress in Leningrad. Both Lavrov's parents worked together at various theaters in Leningrad, they married in 1924, in Leningrad.

The first flight (SU499) was on 1st November 1977 with a range of 3,260 km, an altitude of 16,000- 17,000 m and at the speed of 2,300 km/h. This service was performed once a week and the number of passengers did not exceed 80 persons. In total 55 flights were executed and 3,284 passenger were transported until the end of service in June 1978.
