New Video: Into the Gila National Forest - The Simple Country Life: A while back, my good friend Sergio Pacheco introduced me to the wonderful Gila National Forest. It quickly became one of my favorite little known wilderness places in this country. It was time to bring the whole family, even 3 month old baby Lucas. He had his first outdoor adventure, of many to come. Kids these days are growing up with too much electronics, too much cleanliness, too much sheltering. I fear we’re loosing that connection with nature. I vouch that my kids will not follow that path. There’s a great deal of development that goes on in their little brains when they interact with their environment in this manner. Their inquisitive minds are at their best when doing hands on activities in nature. And so we spent a wonderful weekend doing just that. Catching critters around the lake, watching sunsets and sunrises, eating meals outside, playing with fire, stepping barefoot on wet grass early morning, eating fruit from the trees and many other adventures that even Huckleberry Finn would have to contain his envy. Aww the simplicity of the country life is second to none, and to share it with family, makes it even more priceless. Here's a glimpse of it. Please leave your comments below. Estamos perdendo esse contacto com a natureza que e tao importante. Se depender de min, meus filhos terao um pouquinho da infancia que tive.
