The Miljacka is a river in Bosnia and Herzegovina that passes through Sarajevo.
The Miljacka river originates from the Paljanska-Miljacka river and the Mokranjska Miljacka river confluence, though the Paljanska Miljacka, 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) long river, spring up around 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) eastward from the town of Pale, under the slopes of Jahorina near Begovina at 1025 metres a.s.l., and the Mokranjska Miljacka, 21 kilometres (13 mi) long river, spring up from a large cave, yet to be explored, near Kadino Selo village at 1,135 metres a.s.l. under the slopes of Romanija mountains.
The Miljacka is a rather small river, only 38 kilometres (24 mi) long with average discharge of 5.7 m³/s at the City of Sarajevo, and right tributary of the Bosna river. Hence the origin and the estuary, the Miljacka river flows from the east to the west.
The cave at the spring of Mokranjska Miljacka about 7 km from village Mokro near town Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is officially the longest cave in entire Bosnia and Herzegovina. New species of spider, Nemanela Lade, and other animals (bats) and other paleontological finds, traces of humans and Stalactites have been found here as well as Pisolite rocks. A skeleton head of cave bear has also been found at this location.PDF source The researches believe to have discovered bubbles of air as a possible sign of tectonic activity. The length of the cave so far explored is 7200 m (as at Aug. 2015). The exact location of the cave is not as yet mapped out for public, but local authorities have released the map by which it is possible to locate it as well as gallery of discoveries within the cave.

http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com One day is Sarajevo is not enough! All those scheduling and rescheduling of different tours during this Balkan trip led to a shortened stay in Sarajevo. Hissy fits didn't help with this fait accompli. A wonderful guide, Anja, began the walking tour from Hotel Hayat, down along the Miljacka River to the Mayor's Bridge. She started with some Austro-Hungarian history before walking us back towards "Pigeon Square." Watch for more videos divided into the Ottoman Section, followed by the Austro-Hungarian. I loved Sarajevo and was so disappointed by the minimal time here.
Sarajevo is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with 310,605 people in the four municipalities that make up the city proper, and a metro-area population of 436,572 people in the Sarajevo Canton as of June 2010[update]. It is also the capital of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity, as well as the center of the Sarajevo Canton. Sarajevo is located in the Sarajevo valley of Bosnia, surrounded by the Dinaric Alps and situated along the Miljacka River. The city is famous for its traditional religious diversity, with adherents of Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Judaism coexisting there for centuries.[4] Due to this long and rich history of religious diversity, Sarajevo is often being called the "Jerusalem of Europe"[5] or "Jerusalem of the Balkans".[6] Alt...
This is my trip with friends in 11 minutes. Sarajevo is one of the most historically interesting and varied cities in Europe. It is a place where the Western & Eastern Roman Empire split; where the people of the Roman Catholic west, Eastern Orthodox east and the Ottoman south, met, lived and warred. It has been both an example of historical turbulence and the clash of civilizations, as well as a beacon of hope for peace and tolerance through multi-cultural integration. Sarajevo is not a huge city - around 400.000 people live in its urban area, but it is very livable, vibrant and busy. The city is historically famous for its traditional religious diversity, with adherents of Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Judaism coexisting there for centuries. The city is very tourist friendly, especia...

HAN ISA-BEGA ISHAKOVIĆA Baščaršija (pronounced [baʃ.tʃǎr.ʃi.ja]) is Sarajevo's old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. Baščaršija was built in the 15th century when Isa-Beg Isaković founded the town. The word Baščaršija derives from the Turkish language. The word "baš" which is "baş" in Turkish literally means "head", in some contexts however also "primary", "main", "capital" and "čaršija" which is "çarşı" in Turkish means "bazaar" or "market". Due to the large fire in the 19th century, today Baščaršija is half the size that it once was. Baščaršija is located on the north bank of the river Miljacka, in the municipality of Stari Grad. On Baščaršija there are several important historic buildings, such as the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and sahat-kula. Today Baščaršija is th...

Nothing can stop you
Nothing can break you now
This is'ness has put you out of business
Bought and sold me
I'm lonely
I will admit I'm lonely
Just keep on walking
Act like you don't know me
Disown me
Go ahead disown me
It doesn't really matter
At all
Nothing seems to matter
Nothing can hurt you
Nothing can bring you down
Nothing at all
Nothing can break you
Nothing can take you now
Nothing at all
Let me down easy
Speak softly
Let me down gently
I realize it must be
Disorientating
What was I
What was I saying
Doesn't really matter
Anymore
Nothing seems to matter
Nothing at all
Nothing can hurt you
Nothing can bring you down
Nothing at all
Nothing can take you
Nothing can break your heart
Nothing at all
Nothing can hurt you
Nothing can bring you down
Nothing at all
Nothing can take you
Nothing can break your heart
Nothing at all
This is a matter
This is a matter
This is a matter
This is a matter
Nothing can wreck me
Nothing can take me down
