Windansea Beach – La Jolla, California 92037 1. Windansea Beach is the coastline along a residential community built on the cliffs overlooking this beach in La Jolla. This is a small beach known for its romantic beautiful picture spots, reef surfing and strong shore breaks. 2. Fashion – Beach clothes, bathing suits and cover ups and street clothes. Be fully clothed for the nearby businesses, this is an upscale neighborhood. 6. Crowd size – Small crowds mostly locals. 7. Seating avail/spaces – There are a few park benches along the sidewalk on the street above. 8. Housing – This area has high density housing with beautiful homes with permanent residents and some rentals. 9. Businesses – Some a few blocks away including; food, bars, desserts, shops. Check signs or ask a lifeguard for the proper zone for your activity. Swim at your own risk when no lifeguards are on duty. 14. Lifeguards - Lifeguards are not generally on duty here except a few during summer days from 9:00 a.m. to dusk. Check with lifeguards for specific staff hours. 15. Bathrooms – limited porta potties 16. Smoking- Smoking is NOT allowed on the beach, cliffs, walkways, park areas or adjacent parking lots. 17. Alcohol- Alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed on the beach, cliffs, walkways, park areas and adjacent parking lots. 18. No glass - Glass containers are NOT allowed on the beach, cliffs, walkways, park areas or adjacent parking lots. 19. Bonfires – No fire pits provided 20. Dogs- Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from November 1 through March 31.Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from April 1 through October 3.At all other hours, dogs must be on a leash. Owners are expected to pick up after their dog. Dogs are allowed at Dog Beach (adjacent to Ocean Beach) and Fiesta Island (in Mission Bay).These restrictions do not apply to service animals, as defined by the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. 21.
