The Coconut Song - (Da Coconut Nut)
Just look outside your window and see the sun comin'
through the clouds,
The flags are flyin' from the rooftops
And we're hopin' that some laughter can be found,
We need a little joy to spread around.
Just lift your head, there'll be a new tomorrow
I feel the joy comin' through my heart.
Let's sing a song of hope and understanding,
Let fear be gone and misery be through,
There's a light that's shinin' down on me and you.
Just shake a hand each day,
Call up a friend and spread the news today
That things are fine, hip-hip-hooray,
Gotta believe that love is on its way.
A child is born with innocence and sunshine
Why should we put a rifle in his hand?
And there's his mother weepin' at the doorstep,
One moment he's here and then he's gone.
Don't you know this hatred can't go on.
Just shake a hand each day,
Call up a friend and spread the news today
That things are fine, hip-hip-hooray,
Gotta believe that love is on its way.
Just shake a hand each day,
Call up a friend and spread the news today
That things are fine, hip-hip-hooray,
You gotta believe that love is on its way.
We've got to pray for a new tomorrow,
We've got to raise our voices to the sky.
Now every cloud has a silver lining,
Things will start to change, just wait and see,
There'll be a better life for you and me.
Just shake a hand each day,
Call up a friend and spread the news today
That things are fine, hip-hip-hooray,
Gotta believe that love is on its way,
You've got to believe that love is on its way,
