Granollers (Catalan pronunciation: [ɡɾənuˈʎes]) is a city near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is the capital and most densely populated city of the comarca of Vallès Oriental.
Granollers is a bustling business centre, and many industries are located there. However, in the southern portion of the municipality, the Palou area retains the agricultural characteristics of the past.
Granollers forms a conurbation with Canovelles, Les Franqueses del Vallès and the neighbourhood of La Torreta in La Roca del Vallès. The city is crossed by the Congost river, an affluent to the Besòs river. It is considered to be situated in the second crown of Barcelona metropolitan area.
King Peter V of Aragon died in Granollers.
La Porxada, a Renaissance building which served as a grain storehouse, is an emblematic building. On Corró street, there is the ancient hospital of Sant Domènec, now the Francesc Tarafa theatre, a good example of restored Gothic architecture.

Marcel Granollers i Pujol (born April 12, 1986) is a professional tennis player from Spain who turned professional in 2003. He reached his highest singles ranking of World Number 23 on February 20, 2012, and his highest doubles ranking of World Number 5.
Granollers made the first round of the Wimbledon tournament in 2006, but lost to Andrei Pavel. In the qualifying rounds, he beat Stéphane Robert, Konstantinos Economidis and Marco Chiudinelli.
In 2007, Granollers won the Naples and Rome Challengers for doubles with Flavio Cipolla, and the Maspalomas Challenger for doubles with Marc López. At the 2007 French Open, he made the second round of the men's doubles tournament with Feliciano López before they lost in three close sets to the number 4 seeds Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjić, who won 7–5, 1–6, 6–4. He lost at the French and Wimbledon Championships both times in the second round of qualifying for the main draws.
2008 saw Granollers qualify for the 2008 Australian Open Singles Draw, but lost to Evgeny Korolev 7–5, 6–2, 6–0 in the first round. He reached the quarterfinals of the 2008 Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco, Mexico, an International Series Gold tournament, before losing to José Acasuso 7–6, 6–3. On April 20, he won his first ATP singles title at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships, defeating James Blake in the final. The previous day, he and Pablo Cuevas lost in the doubles final. Following Rafael Nadal's announcement that he would not play the Davis Cup Final at Argentina on November 21–23, Spain's Captain Emilio Sánchez announced that Marcel Granollers would replace Nadal. This was Granollers' first Davis Cup appearance, although he did not play any matches.
Bernard Tomic (Croatian: Bernard Tomić; born 21 October 1992) is an Australian professional tennis player. As of 24 October 2011, Tomic is the highest ranked Australian male tennis player and the youngest player in the top 219. The highlight of Tomic's career thus far has been a quarterfinal appearance at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, which included a straight sets third round victory over the world Number 5 ranked player, Robin Söderling, before losing in four sets to eventual champion Novak Djokovic.
Tomic was born in Stuttgart, Germany, on 21 October 1992. Tomic's parents, John (Ivica) and Ady (Adisa), left Croatia, then a part of Yugoslavia, several years before his birth. In an interview, Tomic stated that his parents "have a Croatian background". Other sources, such The Australian and The Guardian, have written that Tomic's parents are also of Bosnian heritage. They were both working in Germany when Tomic was born. The family migrated to Queensland, Australia when Tomic was three years old. His younger sister, Sara, is a junior tennis player.
