Microsoft really wants students to start using its Surface Pro 4 Windows 10 hybrid device. Microsoft is now offering students a free Xbox One with every purchase of Surface Pro 4 this week at its retail stores in the US.
The deal starts today and will run until August 14, reports The Verge. “So basically a free Xbox One with the purchase of a Surface Pro 4,” Terry Myerson, Microsoft’s head of Windows and devices told The Verge.
Microsoft had earlier announced that its ending production of Surface Pro 3 by the end of this year. Microsoft might be working on the next generation Surface devices and this could well be an attempt to get rid of existing inventories.
Microsoft generally announces new range of Surface devices at its October event and Terry Myerson has told The Verge that new products might launch sometime later in October.
At E3, Microsoft announced Xbox One S, an updated version of Xbox One which goes on retail in October.
