Maths teacher Sebastien Bascoules captured a massive 17ft anaconda which ate his friend’s dog in French Guiana. The 39-year-old old wrestled the huge serpent out of a river close to his friend’s house, blindfolded it and left it in his bathtub over night. With the help of his friends and young sons Sebastien then released the 175lb anaconda into a large river six miles away.

Anaconda
An anaconda is a large snake found in tropical South America. Although the name applies to a group of snakes, it is often used to refer only to one species in particular, the common or green anaconda, Eunectes murinus, which is the largest snake in the world by weight, and the second longest.
Anaconda may refer to:
- Eunectes murinus, the green anaconda, the largest species, is found east of the Andes in Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago.
- Eunectes notaeus, the yellow anaconda, a small species, is found in eastern Bolivia, southern Brazil, Paraguay and northeastern Argentina.
- Eunectes deschauenseei, the darkly-spotted anaconda, is a rare species found in northeastern Brazil and coastal French Guiana.
- Eunectes beniensis, the Bolivian anaconda, the most recently defined species, is found in the Departments of Beni and Pando in Bolivia.

Maths teacher Sebastien Bascoules captured a massive 17ft anaconda which ate his friend’s dog in French Guiana. The 39-year-old old wrestled the huge serpent out of a river close to his friend’s house, blindfolded it and left it in his bathtub over night. With the help of his friends and young sons Sebastien then released the 175lb anaconda into a large river six miles away.

The king cobra is the largest venomous snake in the world, reaching up to 18 ft (5.5 m) in length. Its unique feature is its hood, which flares out of both sides of its head while emitting a loud hiss during a confrontation. It's also capable of standing up with up to a third of its body straight off the ground and looking a full-grown man in his eyes.
Where is it located?
King cobras are found throughout Southeast Asia as well as parts of India and China. They live in rainforests and are comfortable in trees, on land, and in the water feeding primarily on other snakes and occasionally on other vertebrates.
How will it kill you?
King cobras generally try to avoid confrontation with humans if possible. But the moment they feel threatened, they get into their defensive posture of standing up and expanding their hoods while emitting a hiss. Their bite releases a neutoroxin known as haditoxin, which targets your central nervous system. Serious bites lead to cardiovascular collapse followed by coma and death due to respiratory failure. Just like the black mamba, the only animal resistant to the king cobra's venom is the mongoose.
How to survive:
Death can occur in as little as 30 minutes of being bit, so you should get to a hospital as fast as possible after sustaining a bite. Two types of antivenin made specifically for king cobra bites are available, one of which is produced by the Red Cross in Thailand and the other by the Central Research Institute in India. The amount of antivenom required is determined by how much venom you received in order to reverse the progression of the symptoms you've developed. If antivenom isn't available, ingesting a concoction of alcohol and ground turmeric root has been shown to be resilient against the king cobra's venom.

A group of fishermen filmed as they pulled the huge serpent from the Santa Maria river, in Brazil's southwest A huge Brazilian anaconda was captured in jaw-dropping video while a trio of fishermen pulled it out of the river water — nearly getting the animal stressed to the point of rearing its enormous head and swallowing them all. Giant Snake discovered while diving. Swiss Diver Franco Banfi found an massive anaconda underwater in a river in Brazil. Anaconda vs Human Diver... turns out to be a stale mate. Banfi discovered the 26 foot long giant anaconda while diving in the rivers of Mato Grosso a region in Brazil. While these anacondas are common in the wildlife of Brazil, one of this size is not. These predators will often hide just under the water's surface of river banks similar to crocodiles and alligators and wait for an unsuspecting animal to come and take a drink before striking it's prey. The snake gets away momentarily, swimming away from the group for a few seconds before the boat turns around and continues to chase it.
'Grab it, dude, grab it!' instigate Borges as his buddy Santos tries to catch the snake by its tail.
Then Borges gets over to the boat control — and brazenly begins to take off as Santos holds on to the snake, pulling the huge animal as it thrashes around trying to get away.
Santos eventually lets go of the snake and it swims away to freedom.
Environmental police in Mato Grosso do Sul have fined each torturer the equivalent of $600.
They have also been charged with a crime and face up to a year and a half in jail if they're convicted under an environmental law that proscribes the chasing or hunting of wildlife without a license, according to O Correio.

Content description: Reports of giant anacondas date back as far as the European colonization of South America, when sightings of anacondas upwards of 50 meters (164 feet) began to circulate amongst colonists, and the topic has been a subject of debate ever since among cryptozoologists and zoologists. Anacondas are well-verified to grow to sizes of 5.21 metres (17.1 ft), and 97.5 kilograms (215 lb). In particular, the green or common anaconda is the heaviest and largest among all extant snakes in terms of robustness, and it is also the second-longest. The longest reputably-measured and confirmed anacondas are about 5.21 metres (17.1 feet) long. Lengths of 50–60 feet have been reported for this species, but such extremes lack verification. Some seemingly reliable claims that can be found describe measured anacondas ranging from 26 to 39 feet (8.7 to 11.9 m), although these remain unverified.

The Biggest Snake in the World recorded, seen, or filmed is analyzed in depth and confirmed to be around 195 feet in length and could easily eat a man.
IN DEPTH ANALYSIS AND CONFIRMATION
A monstrous snake nearly the size of a football field is captured on film as it rears back to attack a helicopter flying by, but could anything that big really exist? Follow my in depth analysis and by the end of this video try asking yourself that question again.
Humanity is familiar with some pretty big snakes, both in person and in the fossil records, and sometimes through photographic evidence by reliable witnesses.
During World War Two, Belgian fighter ace and squadron leader Remy Van Lierd rose to the rank of Colonel in the British Royal Air Force, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross medal of valor, after shooting down six enemy aircraft and forty four V-1 Flying Bombs. After the war he was put in command of the Kamina Air Base, in the Katanga region of what was then The Belgian Congo.
His reputation and spatial recognition abilities are impeccable, which means we must give careful consideration to this incredible report.
One day in Africa in 1959, on the way back to the airbase from a helicopter mission, Colonel Lierd was astounded to see a massive snake winding it's way along the terrain below.
He circled around for a better look and had one of his flight crew take a series of photographs. As he descended to about 500 feet altitude, the gigantic snake took notice, and reared back as though ready to strike at the helicopter if it dared to come within range.
By his own estimate, Colonel Lierd guesses that the snake must have been a minimum of 50 feet in length, with a triangular shaped jaw about two to three feet wide. In his own words, “It could have easily eaten up a man!”
Keep in mind that a reticulated python is the longest snake ever measured alive at 33 feet or 10 meters in length. T he longest measured known extinct snake is the Titanaboa, which was 42 ft or about 13 meters in length.
After “countless reports from the Kamina area of giant snakes”, the original photos were sent to CIA Captain Lorenzo W. Burrows, director of the National Photographic Interpretation Center with some further analysis of the photo. Let’s look at that.
Here is the full photo in it’s entirety.
As you can see at the bottom, the type of camera the photo was taken with was recorded, which adds some authenticity to this photo.
The key factor in this photo, as pointed out in the letter, are the termite nests, which is a little confusing at first unless you know what an African termite nest looks like.
They look like this…they’re absolutely huge and they take on recognizable shapes.
The letter reads “Further, the two black spots in the upper left hand quadrant are quite plainly termite nests, or rather, their shadows.
Under high power you can very easily see this, and that the top one is a column, circular in the horizontal section, while the bottom one is typical of the flange types that always point north to south.”
See the termite nests? Now remember how big they are?
Let’s use them, as is done in the letter, to approximate a scale of reference. These termite mounds can easily be 2 and a half times the size of a human. So, we’ll say the top termite nest is 15 feet or about 4.5 meters tall.
This is a bit of a guess, but if the snake was fully stretched out, I’d say it’d be around this long.
So if we just stack our 15 foot or 4.5 meter termite nests next to this line…we get about 13 of them.
This yields a rough approximate total length of about 195 feet or about 60 meters and closely matches what the letter says of about 200 feet.
That’s up to 5 times larger than even the Titanaboa…allegedly the biggest snake ever and that was thought to have gone extinct shortly after the dinosaurs.
What sort of monster did Colonel Remy Van Lierd encounter and photograph here?...and why are there so many other alleged reports of massive snakes by others in the same area?
The Congo seems like a very, very scary place.
