Ben Ryan may refer to:
Ben Ryan (born 11 September 1971, in Wimbledon) is the current Fiji sevens head coach.
He is the former coach of the England sevens team where he was named to that position at the end of 2006 after Mike Friday resigned to follow a career outside of rugby and given the combined Sevens and Academy Job full-time in July 2007.
Ryan graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc in Sports science. He is a former member of Thames Valley Harriers Athletic Club, where he was a very successful sprinter at school boy level. He is a former Master at St Edward's School, Oxford where he was master in charge of Rugby and Athletics. During his time at St. Edward's he successfully introduced A-Level Sports science, was head of the physical education department.
Ben Ryan was educated at St Benedict's School, Wimbledon College, Loughborough University (BSc in Sports Science) and Cambridge University (MPhil in Education), where he won two Blues as a scrum-half in the winning sides of 1995 and 1996 as well as captaining the Light Blues’ Sevens team. He played club rugby with Nottingham and West Hartlepool and as recently as Jan 2007 turned out for Newbury in their 45-13 defeat at Leeds Tykes.
Ben Ryan (born October 16, 1988) is an American professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. Ryan was selected by the Nashville Predators in the 4th round (114th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Ryan attended the University of Notre Dame where he played four seasons (2007 – 2011) of NCAA college hockey with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was a member of the 2008–09 CCHA champion Fighting Irish team.
On April 11, 2011, the Nashville Predators signed Ryan to a two-year entry-level contract.
Ryan Davies (22 January 1937 — 22 April 1977) was a versatile popular Welsh entertainer of the 1960s and 1970s. He was born in the Carmarthenshire village of Glanamman, and was educated in Bangor and at the Central School of Speech and Drama. His first professional appearance was in the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 1966. He made his name on Welsh language television shows such as the sitcom Fo a Fe and Ryan a Ronnie, in which he appeared with Ronnie Williams. Davies had a simultaneous solo career as a singer, pianist and songwriter. His best-known compositions are: "Ceiliog y Gwynt", "Nadolig Pwy a Wyr" and "Blodwen a Mary". His album, Ryan at the Rank, is now regarded as a classic. Davies starred as "2nd Voice" in the 1972 film Under Milk Wood with Richard Burton.
Ryan married his childhood sweetheart Irene, and they had two children, Bethan Davies and Arwyn Davies; Arwyn has been an actor in the Welsh television serial Pobol y Cwm since 1993. There were 4 grandchildren: 3 grandsons called William, Twm and James, and a granddaughter named Rebeca, all born after Ryan's death.
Ryan Christopher Davies (born 5 November 1996) is an English cricketer who plays for Somerset. He is a right-handed batsman who also plays as a wicket-keeper.
Having joined Sandwich Cricket Club, he also played for Kent County Cricket Club (KCCC) from the Under 13's onwards. Davies studied at Sandwich Technology School and The Canterbury Academy.
Having played back-up to regular wicket-keeper Sam Billings, after Billings call-up to the England One Day International side, Davies made his first-class debut for Kent against Derbyshire in June 2015.
At the end of the 2015 season, having been made an offer of regular first-team cricket, Davies signed for Somerset County Cricket Club on a three-year deal.
In December 2015 he was named in England's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Bennett A. "Ben" Ryan (30 March 1892 – 5 July 1968) was an American songwriter who wrote the music and lyrics to the popular song (The Gang that Sang) Heart of My Heart. He also wrote or co-wrote many other popular songs including Inka Dinka Doo, M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I, No Nothing, Plus Je T'Embrasse, The Thrill of a New Romance, When Francis Dances With Me, and When I Send You a Picture of Berlin.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Ryan was also a vaudeville performer, film actor and screen writer. Following a lengthy illness, on July 5, 1968, he died in Leonia, New Jersey.
