Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A320 Economy Class flight review from Frankfurt - OY-KAM
This is a flight review / trip report from our
Scandinavian Airlines (
SAS) flight from
Frankfurt Airport to
Copenhagen Airport onboard an
Airbus A320 aircraft.
This footage starts inside Frankfurt Airport where we are walking to our connection flight to
Copenhagen. We have just arrived on a
Lufthansa flight from
Krakow, a country within the EU, and therefore, since we are flying to Copenhagen, also an
EU country, we do not have to pass through passport control or security. We make our way down into the "cellar" at the airport from where we are taken in buses to the plane to make a tarmac embarkation. The ride to the aircraft is fantastic, a real treat for aircraft enthusiasts as there are some lovely views of Franfurt
Airport. We then arrive at our Aircraft, a Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A320 and begin boarding. Shortly after this we begin pushback and the we have a longish taxi, with lots ot see, out to our takeoff runway. We then takeoff with a beautiful view over the
City of
Frankfurt.
*This flight is a Lufthansa
Codeshare flight operated by SAS, however it is noteworthy to mention that even thou Scandinavian Airlines is flying this route on behalf of Lufthansa,
Economy Class passengers do not get the same snack and beverage privileges as they would get on a Lufthansa Economy Class flight.
For Example: We flew from Krakow to Frankfurt on a Lufthansa flight and were offered a small snack (cake) and even alcoholic beverages. It would be fitting that these privilges were automatically given to the passengers put on a codeshare flight.
We were offered a free cup of good coffee onboard, although a bottle of water would cost 3 Euros. It would be a good service if SAS would at least offer a free cup of water to their Economy Class passenhers on short haul flights. It is surely just as easy to have a jug of water on the trolley
as it is to have coffee and tea to serve?
*Our flight to Copenhagen was pleasent and the Scandinavian Airlines cabin crew were friendly, efficient and very professional. Our flight to Copenhagen was a little behind schedule as according to the captains own announcement we were flying into a strong headwind.
All-in-all we enjoyed our approximately 1 hour and 10 minute flight onboard this Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) Airbus A320. We would happily fly short haul with this airline again, but do wish that they (SAS) would consider offering the same services to Economy Class passengers as Lufthansa do, or at least to passengers who are flying on a Lufthansa codeshare flight operated by SAS.
