Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine (frequently shortened to Carter USM) were an English indie rock band formed in 1988 by singer Jim "Jim Bob" Morrison and guitarist Les "Fruitbat" Carter. They made their name with a distinctive style of power pop, fusing samples, sequenced basses and drum machines with rock 'n' roll guitars and off-beat wordplay-loaded lyrics. They reached the height of their fame in 1992. Over the following years the band took on new members, topping out as a six-piece, but struggled to regain their earlier popularity. They initially split up in 1998 after releasing seven albums.
Based in Lambeth in South London, England, Fruitbat and Jim Bob originally played in an indie band called Jamie Wednesday, which released two singles - "Vote For Love" and "We Three Kings of Orient Aren't". Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine was formed in 1987, when Fruitbat and Jim Bob were the only band members to turn up for a charity gig at the London Astoria, and went on stage to perform as a duo with backing tapes. The debut single "A Sheltered Life" was released later in 1988 on the Big Cat label, but it was not until the second single "Sheriff Fatman" in 1989 that the band began to receive recognition. The song was written about a South London slumlord and was followed by the album 101 Damnations – a critical account of life south of the River Thames, full of black humour, cynicism, wordplay and puns. The album went straight to the top of the indie charts.
Hard Way is the eighth album of the Japanese hard rock band Show-Ya. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, USA and produced by Beau Hill and by Kip Winger's brother Paul. It was released on 24 October 1990 and reached position No. 4 in Japan (Oricon Chart). All the lyrics were written by Yoshihiko Andō. This time all the musical arrangements were done by the band. It would be Show-Ya's last studio album with lead singer Keiko Terada. The track "Uchi ni Kaerou" was used as theme song for the anime OVA Cleopatra DC.
The Hard Way may refer to:
"After the Watershed" is a 1991 single by Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine. Although never featured on any original album by the band, it is included on several later compilations.
The Rolling Stones took a dim view of the unauthorised use of their material, notably the refrain "Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday" in the song's chorus, and took out an injunction which forced the song from the radio.
The song is memorable as being performed at the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party of 1991, when Fruitbat rugby tackled Philip Schofield on live TV after his reference to Carter's instrument-smashing performance lacking originality.
The title of the song refers to the watershed time period, enforced on British television by the ITC (now Ofcom). Adult content cannot be broadcast before the 9pm "watershed", in an attempt to prevent adult content being available to younger audiences.
The "Hard Way" reference was simply put to have two meanings: one was, that it meant "a young boy watching adult films saw something graphical and learnt his lesson to never watch that genre again"; the other meaning was the definition of a young boy watching adult programming with an erection, or in Carter USM's meaning, a hard on.
The Unstoppable is the third studio album by the Nigerian R&B artist 2face Idibia, released in 2008, through his label Hypertek Entertainment. The album was produced by J Sleek, Jiggy Jegg, Mic Tunes, Ozzy, Spanky with one track "Flex" produced by R Kelly and featuring him on the track.
The first and only single from the album was the pre-released "Enter The Place", in anticipation of the release of the album. The single featured the Nigerian recording artist Sound Sultan.
The release of the original album was marred with a number of delays and difficulties and relatively poor reviews as actual sales of the album in comparison to the initial two solo albums Face 2 Face and Grass 2 Grace were below expectations.
2face Idibia went on to release a new fourth album called The Unstoppable International Edition that contained some of the materials of the album with some other added tracks.

Two things about Sheriff Fatman. First. They DON'T sing the words "more anuses than Klaus Barbie". Secondly, at the end of the song on this clip, Mssrs Morrison and Carter go off on a riffola spree. But it is NOT the riff to Down Down by Status Quo as much as it sounds like it. The fact you can sing "down down deeper and down" to it don't enter into it. It's a dead argument. It has ceased to be. It was improv. Okay? From Jon Beasts tapes that he gave me a decade or so ago. I have no idea when this tape was recorded as sadly he is no longer with us.
This channel 'replaces' the long running Roy Oh project. After 11 years and 5000 uploads things came to an abrupt halt for us. If you are curious as to what happened, go look up the term douchebags. Let me know if you find photos of Glenn Danzig, Gobi M. Rahimi or The Smiths. Long story short, over a decade of hard labor was destroyed by three mere mouse clicks. Yeah, I get it. Not everyone wants every little footprint of their artistic career on display 24/7, especially if they had no hand in the creation of the recording. However, these footprints exist and one way or another they will be seen. Launching an atomic bomb does not make them go away. On the contrary, it makes you look like an asshole. Anyway, it is impossible to recreate the former channel, in this lifetime anyway. Therefo...
