King's College, Lagos is a secondary school in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. It was founded on 20 September 1909 with 10 students on its original site at Lagos Island, adjacent to Tafawa Balewa Square. The school admits male students only, although there were some female (A Level) HSC students before the establishment of Queen's College Lagos. Now the school conducts exams for the West African School-Leaving Certificate and the National Examinations Council.

On 20 September 1909 King’s School (as it was then called) came into being. There were 10 pioneer students which included J.C. Vaughan, Isaac Ladipo Oluwole, Frank Macaulay, Herbert Mills (from the Gold Coast), O.A. Omololu and Moses King. Oluwole was the first senior prefect of the school.

The school building was erected and furnished at a cost of £10,001. It consists of a hall to accommodate 300 students, 8 lecture rooms, a chemical laboratory and an office.

The philosophy of King’s School was

“to provide for the youth of the colony a higher general education than that supplied by the existing Schools, to prepare them for Matriculation Examination of the University of London and to give a useful course of Study to those who intend to qualify for Professional life or to enter Government or Mercantile service.”

Lagos (/ˈleɪɡɒs/ LAY-gos) is a port city and the most populous city in Nigeria. Officially, the population of Lagos was last recorded at 7,937,932. Lagos is the second fastest growing city in Africa and the 7th fastest in the world. Lagos was originally inhabited by the Awori subgroup of the Yoruba people. Under the leadership of their Olofin, the Awori moved to an island now called Iddo and then to the larger Lagos Island. Lagos is a huge metropolis which originated on islands separated by creeks, such as Lagos Island, fringing the southwest mouth of Lagos Lagoon whilst protected from the Atlantic Ocean by long sand spits such as Bar Beach, which stretch up to 100 km east and west of the mouth. From the beginning, Lagos has expanded on the mainland west of the lagoon and the conurbation, including Ikeja and Agege, now reaches more than 40 km north-west of Lagos Island. Some suburbs include Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry, and more local councils have recently been created, bringing the total number of local governments in Lagos to 57.

King's College London (informally King's or KCL) is a public research university located in London, United Kingdom, and a constituent college of the federal University of London. King's has a claim to being the third-oldest university in England, having been founded by King George IV and the Duke of Wellington in 1829 and received its royal charter in 1836. In 1836 King's became one of the two founding colleges of the University of London.

King's is organised into nine Schools of Study, spread across four Thames-side campuses in central London and another in Denmark Hill, South London. It is one of the largest centres for graduate and post-graduate medical teaching and biomedical research in Europe; it is home to six Medical Research Council centres, the most of any British university, and is a founding member of the King's Health Partners academic health sciences centre. Cobhams Emmanuel Asuquo (January 6, 1981 in Lagos, Nigeria) is an award-winning Nigerian musician, producer, and songwriter.

In 2005, Asuquo signed on with Sony ATV London as a songwriter. After working as Head of Audio Productions at a local label, Questionmark Entertainment, he set up his own recording facility in 2006. He is CEO/ Head of Productions of CAMP (Cobhams Asuquo Music Productions).

He was responsible for Asa's highly acclaimed international album ASA and has graced countless artists sleeve credits as producer and writer.

Wale Adenuga, MFR, (born September 24, 1950, Ile-Ife) is a Nigerian former cartoonist/publisher, and currently a series producer, best known for the publications Ikebe Super, Binta and Super Story, and their televised versions.

Adenuga, whose father was a tobacco merchant, was raised in Ibadan and attended the Ibadan City Academy where he obtained he O-Level certificate, before proceeding to Kings College Lagos for his higher school certificate, where he formed a pop band which later disbanded.

Adenuga gained admission into the University of Lagos in 1971 where he studied Business Administration. As a student who was interested in art and drawing, he worked for the cartoon section of the institution's campus magazine, and was soon made chief cartoonist. The experience inspired him to publish his own magazine. In 1975 after graduation and youth service in Bendel, his comic Ikebe Super was launched. Despite tough competition with other magazines, Ikebe proved to be popular among Nigerian readers due to the characters - womaniser Papa Ajasco, illiterate Pa Jimoh, and playboy Boy Alinco. A leading female character, promiscuous gold-digger Miss Pepeiye, was later introduced. Adenuga's other magazines were Super Story, which focused on satirical issues and Binta, a children's publication.
