Plot: The auxiliary nurse Clara Schumann works at the behest of the labor office in a retirement home in Berlin. She hates her job. Especially the close with the elderly because of their smell. The senior Wotan Henry is a taciturn man with early-stage dementia. He sits in his room. When he looks through the slightly opened door he sees that Clara steals a dessert from the tray as she has done often before. She frights and is worried about losing her job. Plot: David Riley, once the assistant prop-master of the Metropolitan Opera, enters his retirement home's talent show in a last-ditch effort for artistic immortality. But rehearsals for his five-minute dramatic rendition of Wagner's Ring Cycle aren't going well. David convinces himself that a prop helmet he created forty years ago can save his production. He quickly enlists the help of his son, Tom, and young grandson, Richie, to break into the vaults of the Met and steal the helmet. Richie, already suspicious of his grandfather, has a more basic concern: distinguishing real from imaginary. During their quest for the 'magic' helmet, Richie connects with his grandfather and discovers that, on the stage, life can be lived in a fantastical gray zone between memories and dreams.

Plot: The documentary draws a portrait of an opera director, who is staging Richard Wagner's Die Walküre. He is torn between the tragicomic routine of an opera house and his own perception of Wagner and the Ring cycle. The film witnesses the director's drama to maintain the fragile link between a well-constructed performance and his own vision that lies within the music and the narrative and is seen as German expressionism-like nightmares.

Plot: Life could be just great for bankrobber Keek: His buddy Kalle is doing time for their last coup, while Keek has to retain the loot. Kalle will spend two more years in jail, so Keek is not exactly bothered by the fact that he has lost most of the money betting on horse races. But then Kalle watches a porn video 'starring' his girlfriend and he breaks free to take revenge. Suddenly, Keek is in desperate need of cash and even the weirdest scheme seems promising.
