The film was adapted by Marina and Sergey Dyachenko from the 1969 novel by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky of the same Russian name, published in English as Prisoners of Power; a part of Noon Universe series. It is a dystopian story set on post-apocalyptic planet Saraksh, ruled by totalitarian regime that brainwashes its citizens. Maxim Kammerer, a space explorer from Earth, crash lands on Saraksh and becomes involved in the planet's everboiling politics.
The year 2157. The blossom times for the human civilization. Pilots of the Freelance Search Group enjoy interstellar travelling. A Russian spacecraft, piloted by a 22 year old Maxim Kammerer, crashes on the distant inhabited Saraksh planet. After long years of a nuclear war, an environmental crisis reigns over the planet, the society is overburdened with social problems, and the established peace is quite shaky. The brave astronaut will explore a mysterious land governed by the Unknown Fathers who are five anonymous rulers manipulating the inhabitants consciousness using special emitters. There Maxim will meet new friends, make enemies, find his love and, after getting through dangerous trials, hunger, mortal hazards and losses, will lead a rebel movement challenging the five greedy rulers.

Year 2157. The Noon of Humanity. Armed with the great theory of enlightenment the people of Earth forgot wars, famine and terrorism. Nature regenerated. Medicine triumphed over disease, and science unlocked the hidden resources of the human body. People from the Earth explore distant planets. New generations of earthlings are brave, strong, and naïve.
The story of Inhabited Island begins when the spacecraft of a 20-years old student Maxim Kammerer makes a crash-landing on the planet Saraksh. Maxim finds himself in the world that is totally opposite to the Earth. Saraksh just went through the nuclear war. The planet is divided into several states, which are on the verge of new wars. The country that Maxim finds himself in is ruled by the group of dictators the Unknown fathers - who control the population through the system of emitting towers.
For Maxim this sorry planet becomes the place where he finds his first real friend and first great love. He would become a soldier, a revolutionary, a prisoner and an outcast. And he would have to make a choice: should he try and save this planet, or just leave it to its fate?

This was a Surf Drum mission gone wrong, we drove many hours south to dead end where we launched our Kayaks and Paddled over to Island X, which is on the East Coast, USA. From there we Pulled and Pushed a Kayak full of gear 2+ miles down the beach before setting up for the day, after a few hours at the first spot things were looking dismal so we packed up and moved down the beach where Matt was pretty sure there would be some fish. Sure enough, we caught some nice fish, 2 nice Stripers 30lbs+, one of which was caught by the skin of his teeth, by hooking an old rig that was hanging out of the gut of the fish. I caught many Sting Rays, one of which took a stab at my foot and broke his stinger off in my waders.
All said and done this was a crazy trip that I will never forget, thanks for watching!

Tristan da Cunha
Tristan da Cunha /ˈtrɪstən də ˈkuːnjə/, colloquially Tristan, is both a remote group of volcanic islands in the south Atlantic Ocean and the main island of that group. It is the most remote inhabited archipelago in the world, lying 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi) from the nearest inhabited land, Saint Helena,2,400 kilometres (1,500 mi) from the nearest continental land, South Africa, and 3,360 kilometres (2,090 mi) from South America. The territory consists of the main island, also named Tristan da Cunha, which has a north–south length of 11.27 kilometres (7.00 mi) and has an area of 98 square kilometres (38 sq mi), along with the smaller, uninhabited Nightingale Islands and the wildlife reserves of Inaccessible and Gough Islands.
Tristan da Cunha is part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. This includes Saint Helena and equatorial Ascension Island some 3,730 kilometres (2,318 mi) to the north of Tristan. The island has a population of 267 as of January 2016.

An island /ˈaɪlənd/ or isle /ˈaɪl/ is any piece of sub-continental land that is surrounded by water. Very small islands such as emergent land features on atolls can be called islets, skerries, cays or keys. An island in a river or a lake island may be called an eyot or ait, or a holm. A grouping of geographically or geologically related islands is called an archipelago, e.g. the Philippines.
An island may be described as such despite the presence of an artificial land bridge, for example Singapore and its causeway, or the various Dutch delta islands, such as IJsselmonde. Some places may even retain "island" in their names for historical reasons after being connected to a larger landmass by a wide land bridge, such as Coney Island or Coronado Island. Conversely, when a piece of land is separated from the mainland by a man-made canal, for example the Peloponnese by the Corinth Canal, it is generally not considered an island.

12:22 Got Stung By a Stingray 13:35 First Striper 18:16 Bigger Striper, caught by snagging a rig in the stripers mouth! 25:42 Stingray Barb Extraction This was a Surf Drum mission gone wrong, we drove many hours south to dead end where we launched our Kayaks and Paddled over to Island X, which is on the East Coast, USA. From there we Pulled and Pushed a Kayak full of gear 2+ miles down the beach before setting up for the day, after a few hours at the first spot things were looking dismal so we packed up and moved down the beach where Matt was pretty sure there would be some fish. Sure enough, we caught some nice fish, 2 nice Stripers 30lbs+, one of which was caught by the skin of his teeth, by hooking an old rig that was hanging out of the gut of the fish. I caught many Sting Rays, one of which took a stab at my foot and broke his stinger off in my waders. All said and done this was a crazy trip that I will never forget, thanks for watching! -

Planet earth is made up of around 180,000 islands. Some of which are huge countries, and others that are tiny and unpopulated, that look like dots on a map. Well, it's usually these ones that most of us have never even heard about, that hold some seriously dark stories and unsolved mysteries.
So, from an island home to a ridiculous amount of cannibalism, that has rarely been talked about, to another that literally vanished from the face of the planet. Here are five uninhabited islands with mysterious and dark back stories.

The story of Inhabited Island begins when the spacecraft of a 20-years old student Maxim Kammerer makes a crash-landing on the planet Saraksh. Maxim finds himself in the world that is totally opposite to the Earth. Saraksh just went through the nuclear war. The planet is divided into several states, which are on the verge of new wars. The country that Maxim finds himself in is ruled by the group of dictators the Unknown fathers - who control the population through the system of emitting towers.

This was a Surf Drum mission gone wrong, we drove many hours south to dead end where we launched our Kayaks and Paddled over to Island X, which is on the East Coast, USA. From there we Pulled and Pushed a Kayak full of gear 2+ miles down the beach before setting up for the day, after a few hours at the first spot things were looking dismal so we packed up and moved down the beach where Matt was pretty sure there would be some fish. Sure enough, we caught some nice fish, 2 nice Stripers 30lbs+, one of which was caught by the skin of his teeth, by hooking an old rig that was hanging out of the gut of the fish. I caught many Sting Rays, one of which took a stab at my foot and broke his stinger off in my waders.
All said and done this was a crazy trip that I will never forget, thanks for watching!
