The Cessna Citation is a market brand-name used by American manufacturer Cessna for its line of business jets. Rather than one particular model of aircraft, the name applies to several "families" of turbofan-powered aircraft that have been produced over the years. Within each of the six distinct families, aircraft design improvements, market pressures and re-branding efforts have resulted in a number of variants, so that the Citation lineage has become quite complex. Military variants include the T-47 and UC-35 series aircraft.
More than 6,750 Citations have been delivered, forming the largest business jet fleet. The first Citation was put into service in 1972, more than 31 million flight hours have been logged since.
The Cessna Citation Mustang, Model 510, is a very light jet (VLJ) class business jet built by Cessna Aircraft Company at their Independence, Kansas production facility. The Mustang, in standard configuration, has four passenger seats in the aft cabin, a toilet and seating for two in the cockpit. Like most other light jets, the Mustang is approved for single-pilot operation.
The Model 510 Mustang first flew on 18 April 2005. The airplane received full type certification from the Federal Aviation Administration on September 8, 2006. Cessna received FAA certification to fly into "known icing conditions" on November 9, 2006. Cessna delivered the first production LJ on November 23, 2006, the same day the FAA awarded Cessna with the necessary certification. Dave and Dawn Goode of GOODE Ski Technologies received the first retail delivered Cessna Mustang on April 23, 2007.
The Mustang is a low-wing cantilever monoplane with a swept wing, T-tail and tricycle retractable landing gear. One main door is located in the forward left section of the aircraft, with an additional emergency exit on the center right section of the fuselage.
Broadly, a citation is a reference to a published or unpublished source (not always the original source). More precisely, a citation is an abbreviated alphanumeric expression embedded in the body of an intellectual work that denotes an entry in the bibliographic references section of the work for the purpose of acknowledging the relevance of the works of others to the topic of discussion at the spot where the citation appears. Generally the combination of both the in-body citation and the bibliographic entry constitutes what is commonly thought of as a citation (whereas bibliographic entries by themselves are not). References to single, machine-readable assertions in electronic scientific articles are known as nanopublications, a form of microattribution.
Citations have several important purposes: to uphold intellectual honesty (or avoiding plagiarism), to attribute prior or unoriginal work and ideas to the correct sources, to allow the reader to determine independently whether the referenced material supports the author's argument in the claimed way, and to help the reader gauge the strength and validity of the material the author has used. As one article has argued, citations relate to the way authors perceive the substance of their work, their position in the academic system, and the moral equivalency of their place, substance, and words.
The Cessna Citation M2 is a turbofan-powered light corporate jet built by the Cessna Aircraft Company in Independence, Kansas. The Citation M2 is based on the earlier Model 525 CitationJet (CJ1).
The original Model 525 CitationJet was launched in 1989. The M2 was launched in September 2011 and it was described as a new light business jet. The M2 is based on the then out-of-production CJ1 variant and features a new cabin layout and a more efficient version of the Williams FJ44 engine. The M2 first flew on 9 March 2012. An M2 may cost around US$2-3 per nautical mile to operate, whereas the G650 and similar may cost $5-6.
The Citation M2 is a low-wing cantilever monoplane with retractable tricycle landing gear, a pressurized cabin, a T-tail, and is powered by two Williams FJ44-1AP-21 turbofan engines that are pylon-mounted on the rear fuselage.

General characteristics
The Cessna Citation X is an American long-range medium-sized business jet aircraft. The Citation X is powered by two turbofan engines and is built by the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas. The Citation brand of business jets encompasses six distinct "families" of aircraft. Although based on the earlier Citation III, VI and VII models, the Citation X is significantly different, differing in its wing design, avionics, and engines. The New Citation X, currently under development, sees upgraded engines and avionics.
According to the manufacturer, it is currently the fastest civilian aircraft in the world.
When the Citation X was announced, the Citation 650 series, the "family" at the top of the product line, which includes the Citations III, VI, and VII, was eight years old. In 1990, Cessna made a proposition for an improved 650 model to their Customer Advisory Council. The council was interested in some new elements such as increased speed and a pressurized baggage compartment. This pushed Cessna toward the Citation X program, which became the new 750 series.
Eric Lindberg takes us flying in the Cessna Citation Mustang. The Mustang is a single pilot certifies jet that is a total blast to fly. I hope you all enjoy coming along with us as Eric puts the Citation Mustang through some of its paces. https://www.patreon.com/erikjohnston
This summer I got a chance to fly a Jet for the first time in my life. It was an awesome experience and even though I am still learning and often feel very behind the aircraft, at times, I wanted to share just one of the legs of the flight I was able to capture. Neil is a great pilot and has been patiently teaching me along the way. Hope you all enjoy. SO come along as we leave Fort Lauderdale to fly to Bimini..... At NBAA 2016 in Orlando, Cessna showed off for the first time the cabin mock up of the large cabin Citation Hemisphere. In this AVweb news video, Cessna's Christi Tannahill gave us a detailed tour of the airplane's interior.
AIN recently flew the new Cessna Citation Latitude business jet, which introduces the first new Citation cabin cross section in more than four decades. The aircraft offers a stand-up flat-floor cabin, efficient performance, excellent handling, at a cost of $16.25 million. And, in the cockpit, there’s plenty for the pilot to get excited about too, as AIN’s Matt Thurber found out when he took it for a ride over California. Flying the Cessna Citation Mustang into Nashville and landing on runway 31 before sunrise. On this flight I'm following a heavy 767 that's landing on the same runway. Since wake turbulence is a concern I stay one dot high on the glide slope to avoid an possibility of flying into the 767's wake vortice. That's why the tower controller says good job at the end. This is a little bit better Citation 510 cockpit view with live ATC radio communications. video taken with an iPhone4s To share this video https://youtu.be/JBBk4iBRmhI The Captmoonbeam store http://www.zazzle.com/captmoonbeam?rf=238113718454991511 Google+ https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/104574517412194077128/+captmoonbeam
Cessna Citation M2 landing cockpit view at Punta Gorda, Fl. The M2 is an upgrade to the original single pilot Citation jet. It's one of the nicest handling airplanes I've ever flown and the biggest change from the original Citation jet is that it has the Garmin 3000 avionics suite installed in the panel. This video is of our takeoff and doing air work in the local practice area where we do some steep turns. We then pickup our IFR clearance and continue to PGD where we land on runway 15. video taken with an iphone 4s and a GoPro Hero 3+
