Salman has been summoned by court to appear on July 7
Controversy’s favourite child Salman Khan finds himself in a soup again after he compared himself to a raped woman at a media interaction for his upcoming movie, Yash Raj Films’ Sultan. That garnered bad publicity for this superstar has he ended up offending masses at large.
Following on his distasteful remark, National Commision of Women filed a case against him. Post which his counsel replied to the same. The president of NCW admitted on receiving the reply but also stated that Khan did not apologise but pointing out that since the case id filed by NCW, it should be heard at the state level. Salman not his lawyer were present for the hearing and therefore, the Sultan star has been summoned him to appear on July 7. As reproted by Times Now, the MCW chief Vijaya Rahatkar said, “Salman Khan’s been asked to appear on July 7 for hearing as this is a concurrent subject.”
Activist / lawyer Abha Singh lambasted Salman over this matter and told the media, “If NCW cannot prove that it is an offence under IPC, nothing much can be done about it. That is the reason why Salman is so brazen. One can make out that he is not concerned.”
While women rights activists are claiming that women across the board should boycott Salman’s movies till he apologises and make amends for his distasteful statement, you tell us what you feel.
