SOME INFO ON THE REAL WILGA -
The PZL-104 was designed for robust use in sports, civil aviation, with a strong emphasis on glider-towing and parachute training. The prototype of the initial Wilga Mark 1 variant was first flown on 24 April 1962 powered by an existing Polish 220 hp (160 kW) horizontally-opposed engine the PZL WN-6RB. The Wilga 1 prototype exposed a number of design faults, the most serious of which was excessive weight and a rear view restriction such that the crew could not easily see a towed glider. This resulted in an airframe review that thoroughly redesigned the aircraft, led by Bronisław Żurakowski and Andrzej Frydrychewicz.
Retaining major structural elements and successful sub-assemblies from the wings in the initial design, a completely new slimmer, strengthened fuselage was added that also offered an excellent rear view aspect for the crew during glider towing operations, and the side doors were re-engineered to open upwards for better aero observation or parachute jump sorties. The upgraded aircraft could be flown with the doors open if required, and had an air ambulance conversion capability.
With an all-aluminium construction, the Wilga is a high-wing cantilever STOL monoplane, with a conventional layout. The main cabin is constructed of duralumin, riveted and corrugated, increasing the strength and durability of the low-mass semi-monocoque fuselage. The rectangular single-spar wing is fitted with slotted flaps and anti-stall slats. The four-seat cabin is fitted with two large side doors, opening upwards to facilitate large loads, and rapid entry/exit. The main wheels are attached to an articulated, conventional fixed pneumatic shock landing gear with a heavy-duty sprung tail wheel and glider tow hook. The two-bladed composite wooden propeller is strengthened with bonded metal leading edges. The Russian-designed engine rotates in an opposite direction to North American standards. The newest models of Wilgas use full metal propellers and North American Continental O-470 engines with standard rotation. Likewise, presently two 195 L (43 imp gal; 52 US gal) fuel tanks are located in the wings.
Over 1,000 Wilgas of all types have been built, including 935 of the Wilga 35 and 80. This means more PZL-104 have been produced than any other Polish aircraft design.

The PZL.23B Karaś was a Polish light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft designed in the mid-1930s by PZL in Warsaw. It was the main Polish bomber and reconnaissance aircraft used during the September campaign 1939.
On 2 September 1939, one PZL.23B of the 21st Squadron bombed a factory in Ohlau as the first bomb attack on the German territory. The PZL.23 bomber squadrons attacked German armoured columns, especially on 3 September 1939, while the main mission of Army squadrons was reconnaissance. The five squadrons of the Bomber Brigade delivered about 52-60 tons of bombs during the campaign, the Army squadrons added about a dozen tons of bombs as well.

This PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader came to Hungary in 1996. She flew in Slovakia and Czech Republic as an agricultural plane before. In Hungary she stations in Mezőhegyes with HA-MTY.
The company has an M18 for spraying flights and another one for fertilizer spreading, this one is HA-MVB.
The PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader is a single engine agricultural aircraft that is manufactured by PZL-Mielec in Poland. The aircraft is used mainly as a cropduster or firefighting machine.
Hungarian Air Service bought a lot of M18 Dromader around 1980. They used them for agricultural flights but after 1989 M18s began to disappear. For now there are only two operating in Hungary.
The day when I recorded the video the Dromader had 7 take offs near Romanian border, close to the village of Battonya.
The colza was very big, so it was so difficult to go in and make nice pictures-videos. When you try to walks on it, it has the feeling like it grabs your leg…strange plant!

Manapság Mezőhegyesen állomásozik HA-MTY Dromaderrel egyetemben. A tulajdonosok vegyszerezésre használják az egyik gépüket, műtrágyaszórásra pedig a másikat.

Látogatásunk alatt a gép a Román határhoz közel, Battonya település határában repce földet permetezett. A gépnek 7 felszállása volt aznapra.
A kifejlett repcebokrok nagyon szívós és erős növények, szinte képtelenség sétálni benne. Mikor begázoltunk jobb felvételek reményében, olyan érzés volt mintha a szándékosan elkapták volna a lábunkat…

The PZL-37 Łoś (English: Moose) was a Polish twin-engine medium bomber, used in the defense of Poland against the German Invasion in 1939. The PZL.37 was designed in the mid-1930s at the PZL factory in Warsaw by Jerzy Dąbrowski. Number built over 120.
PZL.37 were ordered by Yugoslavia,Bulgaria,Romania,Turk,Greece,Belgium,also Denmark, Estonia, Finland and Iran were negotiating. The Polish military weren't allowed a deal with Iran due to "lack of production abilities".The outbreak of the war prevented the production of these aircraft. At that time, PZL developed the next variant for the Polish airforce, the PZL.49 Miś, but this was not completed before the war. Having slightly bigger dimensions, Miś ("Bear") was to be fitted with Bristol Hercules II engines of 1,350 BHP (1,370 cv, 1,007 kW), maximum speed 520 km/h and an upper turret.

Fundacja Biało-Czerwone Skrzydła przywróciła życie samolotowi TS-11 Iskra bis D (3H 1214). Egzemplarz ten kończy w tym roku 40 lat. Spędził 2 900 godzin w powietrzu, a ostatni lot wykonał 10 lat temu, po czym trafił do Agencji Mienia Wojskowego. Samolot jest obecnie własnością Fundacji, a na czas remontu stacjonuje w Świdniku.
Biało-Czerwone Skrzydła Foundation restored aircraft TS-11 Iskra bis D (3H 1214). This plane is 40 years old. It spent 2 900 hours in the air and the last flight made 10 years ago, then it went to the Military Property Agency. The aircraft is currently owned by the Foundation and for renovation stationed in Swidnik.

The PZL-230F is a high performance attack fighter developed in the 1990s by Poland. Intended to have a top speed of 1,000 kph, a payload of 4,000kg while retaining short takeoff and landing capabilities, some speculate it could have been a very efficient ground attack platform and a hit in the export market.
Various designs for the PZL-230 exist, including an A-10 like configuration, but the PZL-230F is the most advanced and would not be out of place on a sci-fi set.

This PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader came to Hungary in 1996. She flew in Slovakia and Czech Republic as an agricultural plane before. In Hungary she stations in Mezőhegyes with HA-MTY. The company has an M18 for spraying flights and another one for fertilizer spreading, this one is HA-MVB. The PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader is a single engine agricultural aircraft that is manufactured by PZL-Mielec in Poland. The aircraft is used mainly as a cropduster or firefighting machine. Hungarian Air Service bought a lot of M18 Dromader around 1980. They used them for agricultural flights but after 1989 M18s began to disappear. For now there are only two operating in Hungary. The PZL-104 was designed for robust use in sports, civil aviation, with a strong emphasis on glider-towing and parachute training. The prototype of the initial Wilga Mark 1 variant was first flown on 24 April 1962 powered by an existing Polish 220 hp (160 kW) horizontally-opposed engine the PZL WN-6RB. The Wilga 1 prototype exposed a number of design faults, the most serious of which was excessive weight and a rear view restriction such that the crew could not easily see a towed glider. This resulted in an airframe review that thoroughly redesigned the aircraft, led by Bronisław Żurakowski and Andrzej Frydrychewicz.
Retaining major structural elements and successful sub-assemblies from the wings in the initial design, a completely new slimmer, strengthened fuselage was added that also offered an excellent rear view aspect for the crew during glider towing operations, and the side doors were re-engineered to open upwards for better aero observation or parachute jump sorties. The upgraded aircraft could be flown with the doors open if required, and had an air ambulance conversion capability.
With an all-aluminium construction, the Wilga is a high-wing cantilever STOL monoplane, with a conventional layout. The main cabin is constructed of duralumin, riveted and corrugated, increasing the strength and durability of the low-mass semi-monocoque fuselage. The rectangular single-spar wing is fitted with slotted flaps and anti-stall slats. The four-seat cabin is fitted with two large side doors, opening upwards to facilitate large loads, and rapid entry/exit. The main wheels are attached to an articulated, conventional fixed pneumatic shock landing gear with a heavy-duty sprung tail wheel and glider tow hook. The two-bladed composite wooden propeller is strengthened with bonded metal leading edges. The Russian-designed engine rotates in an opposite direction to North American standards. The newest models of Wilgas use full metal propellers and North American Continental O-470 engines with standard rotation. Likewise, presently two 195 L (43 imp gal; 52 US gal) fuel tanks are located in the wings.
Over 1,000 Wilgas of all types have been built, including 935 of the Wilga 35 and 80. This means more PZL-104 have been produced than any other Polish aircraft design.

The colza was very big, so it was so difficult to go in and make nice pictures-videos. When you try to walks on it, it has the feeling like it grabs your leg…strange plant!

Manapság Mezőhegyesen állomásozik HA-MTY Dromaderrel egyetemben. A tulajdonosok vegyszerezésre használják az egyik gépüket, műtrágyaszórásra pedig a másikat.
A PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader egy egyhajtúműves mezőgazdasági repülőgép, melyet a PZL-Mielec gyárban gyártottak Lengyelországban. Főként mezőgazdasági és tűzoltó célokra alkalmazzák. Magyarországra jó pár példány került belőle a MÉM
Repülőgépes szolgálathoz az 1980-as években. Sajnos a rendszerváltás után számuk egyre fogyott, oly mértékben, hogy már csak három repülőképes példány található belőlük az országban.
Látogatásunk alatt a gép a Román határhoz közel, Battonya település határában repce földet permetezett. A gépnek 7 felszállása volt aznapra.
A kifejlett repcebokrok nagyon szívós és erős növények, szinte képtelenség sétálni benne. Mikor begázoltunk jobb felvételek reményében, olyan érzés volt mintha a szándékosan elkapták volna a lábunkat…

Hungarian Air Service bought a lot of M18 Dromader around 1980. They used them for agricultural flights but after 1989 M18s began to disappear. For now there are only two operating in Hungary.
The day when I recorded the video the Dromader had 7 take offs near Romanian border, close to the village of Battonya.
The colza was very big, so it was so difficult to go in and make nice pictures-videos. When you try to walks on it, it has the feeling like it grabs your leg…strange plant!
A videón látható PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader 1996-ban került Magyarországra. Ezelőtt Szolvákiában és Csehországban használták mezőgazdasági repülésekre. Manapság Mezőhegyesen állomásozik HA-MTY Dromaderrel egyetemben. A tulajdonosok vegyszerezésre használják az egyik gépüket, műtrágyaszórásra pedig a másikat.
A PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader egy egyhajtúműves mezőgazdasági repülőgép, melyet a PZL-Mielec gyárban gyártottak Lengyelországban. Főként mezőgazdasági és tűzoltó célokra alkalmazzák. Magyarországra jó pár példány került belőle a MÉM
Repülőgépes szolgálathoz az 1980-as években. Sajnos a rendszerváltás után számuk egyre fogyott, oly mértékben, hogy már csak három repülőképes példány található belőlük az országban.
Látogatásunk alatt a gép a Román határhoz közel, Battonya település határában repce földet permetezett. A gépnek 7 felszállása volt aznapra.
A kifejlett repcebokrok nagyon szívós és erős növények, szinte képtelenség sétálni benne. Mikor begázoltunk jobb felvételek reményében, olyan érzés volt mintha a szándékosan elkapták volna a lábunkat…

Spędził 2 900 godzin w powietrzu, a ostatni lot wykonał 10 lat temu, po czym trafił do Agencji Mienia Wojskowego. Samolot jest obecnie własnością Fundacji, a na czas remontu stacjonuje w Świdniku.

Intended to have a top speed of 1,000 kph, a payload of 4,000kg while retaining short takeoff and landing capabilities, some speculate it could have been a very efficient ground attack platform and a hit in the export market.
Various designs for the PZL-230 exist, including an A-10 like configuration, but the PZL-230F is the most advanced and would not be out of place on a sci-fi set.
