The Brothers Grimm (German: Brüder Grimm or Die Gebrüder Grimm), Jakob Grimm (January 4, 1785 – September 20, 1863) and Wilhelm Grimm (February 24, 1786 – December 16, 1859), were German academics, linguists, cultural researchers, and authors who together collected folklore. They are among the most well-known storytellers of European folk tales, and their work popularized such stories as "Cinderella", "The Frog Prince" (Der Froschkönig), "Hansel and Gretel" (Hänsel und Gretel), "Rapunzel", "Rumpelstiltskin" (Rumpelstilzchen), and "Snow White" (Schneewittchen). Their first collection of folk tales, Children's and Household Tales (Kinder- und Hausmärchen), was published in 1812.
The brothers spent their formative years first in the German town of Hanau and then in Steinau. Their father's death in 1796, about a decade into their lives, caused great poverty for the family and affected the brothers for many years. They attended the University of Marburg where historian and jurist Friedrich von Savigny spurred their interest in philology and Germanic studies—a field in which they are now considered pioneers—and at the same time developed a curiosity for folklore, which grew into a life-long dedication to collecting German folk tales.
Too Close to the Sun is a musical with a book by Roberto Trippini and music and lyrics by Trippini and John Robinson, based on a play by Ron Read. The musical is a fictionalized account of the last days in the life of Ernest Hemingway.
Too Close to the Sun began previews at the Comedy Theatre in London's West End on 16 July 2009 and officially opened on 24 July. It received uniformly unfavourable reviews and closed on 8 August, bringing its planned eight-week run to an end six weeks early. Directed by Pat Garrett, the opening night cast cast included James Graeme as Ernest Hemingway, Helen Dallimore as Mary Hemingway, and Tammy Joelle as Louella. Citing a knee injury, Jay Benedict had withdrawn from his role of Rex early in the previews. He was replaced by Christopher Howell who performed all of the remaining performances. Sets and costumes were designed by Christopher Woods.
In the summer of 1961 on the Hemingway ranch in Ketchum, Idaho, Hemingway's young secretary, Louella, is plotting to become his fifth wife and heir to his estate. Rex De Havilland, an old friend of the author and now a struggling Hollywood producer, arrives to secure the film rights to Hemingway's life. Anxious to achieve his goal by any means possible, he tries to convince Hemingway's wife Mary the project will give the ailing writer a new lease on life. Hemingway, however, fails to succumb to the charms of either Louella or Rex, and he banishes both from his home before committing suicide with a shot to his head.

One Morning- I'm sounding off. Three, two, one, and so
on. I'm trying to be heard through the fog. With my head
arched to the river I spoke so that it echoed from my
concrete ledge to the strangers passing by. It's alright,
I'm much better than I should be. I'm much better than
before. I'm standing on a bridge with a megaphone. I
shout into your ears through a megaphone. The second you
look away I'll jump. If I go and I don't wake up one
morning surely everyone will know the reason why and
where I've gone. Pages fly as I dive to where they'll
find me. When it rains it pours. I sink towards my
One morning when the mist came down
I woke up early and I looked around
My baby slept, the sky was blue
I started walkin' thinkin' only of you
Up the hill and down the road
Past the people that I barely know
Round the bend to the run-off wash
I found a feather that a quail had lost
Where are you goin' now my friend
Where are you goin' now
Are you going to see them on the mountain now
Goin' to see them trees
Goin' to watch the circles take a bow
Goin' to help agree
To be
Today
Some people like to play out loud
I like them always, they're a laughing crowd
To catch the wind then come slidin' down
You reach the bottom fallin' upside down
Touch a hand and see the world turnin' circles
Brushin' every curl back again
To those sunset walks
One day I'm gonna swim this lake I swear it
I'm gonna swim it end to end
I'm bound to paddle on upriver
Out by the delta where the fishin' boats come in
One day I'm gonna catch the biggest catfish
The one that always got away
Dust off your finest china dishes
We're gonna have him on a plate
One mornin' ‘fore the sun rise one mornin' ‘fore the light
One mornin' ‘fore the mean old rooster has cried
One mornin' ‘fore the trucks roll blowin' their horn
We gonna take the whole world on by the storm
Someday I'm gonna make a ton a' money
I'm gonna tuck it in the bank
So we ain't ever goin' hungry
They'll have to add another safe
One mornin' ‘fore the sun rise one mornin' ‘fore the light
One mornin' ‘fore the mean old rooster has cried
One mornin' ‘fore the trucks roll blowin' their horn
We gonna take the whole world on by the storm
Someday I'll travel to the city
I might hop a trolley car
See them buildings tall as Everest
Disappearing in the stars
One mornin' ‘fore the sun rise one mornin' ‘fore the light
One mornin' ‘fore the mean old rooster has cried
One mornin' ‘fore the trucks roll blowin' their horn
We gonna take the whole world on by the storm
One mornin', one mornin' as work I begun
What did I see ridin' out of the sun
On the road from Lexington
One rider, one rider beatin' the breeze
Down on his saddle, low to his knees
Comin' through my willow trees
Now closer, the terrible work of the gun
Was stiffened and black where his blood all had run
But I knew my wayward son
One mornin', one mornin' the boy of my breast
Came to my door unable to rest
Even in the arms of death
