Tingle (チンクル, Chinkuru?, also romanized Tincle in Japanese materials) is the video game character of the eponymous Tingle series. He was originally part of the The Legend of Zelda series, first appearing in Majora's Mask, released in the year 2000. Since his first appearance, he has appeared in each installment of the series up through Spirit Tracks, except for Twilight Princess. He has gone on to be the star of video games for the Nintendo DS: Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, currently released in Japan and Europe, and the Japan exclusive games Tingle's Balloon Fight DS, Irozuki Tincle no Koi no Balloon Trip, as well as the DSiWare application Dekisugi Tingle Pack.
Tingle was created by Takaya Imamura, a game designer at Nintendo EAD. According to an interview with Kensuke Tanabe, producer of Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, character designer Imamura created Tingle in a "very relaxed manner." He was also in charge of the character design of the games F-Zero and Star Fox.

If you ran out of air oh, no
You see my star kid groover's holding tight
On the reins of my heart
It's a breeze, she's a tease
We were made for the trees
How I want her like this
How I love when she feeds me her tingle
She's my mud honey child
As we dance on the waves on the street
You see my all time
Mover's boppin' hard from her head to her feet
It's a gas, it's a treat, not a hint of deceit
How I want her like this
How I love when she feeds me her tingle
So, so
Why do we always keep looking back?
Feelin' joy, feelin' pain, we're exactly the same
I can't change what always remain oh no, no, no
So, so
Why do we always keep looking back?
Feelin' joy, feelin' pain, we're exactly the same
I can't change what always remain oh no, no, no

Won't you fill up the dark with your tingle
