Okhla

Okhlais a Suburban colony in South Delhi district located at Delhi border. It is more commonly known as Okhla Industrial Area (OIA) or Okhla Industrial Estate, an industrial suburb in South Delhi which is mainly divided into three Phases. Okhla has lent its name to the nearby planned township of NOIDA (New Okhla Industrial Development Area).

History

The Okhla barrage, which was developed by Britishers, is also the starting point of the Agra Canal built in 1874, today it is also the location of the Okhla Sanctuary, and further down the canal towards Agra, the Keetham Lake, National Bird Sanctuary. OKHLA is an acronym for Old Kanal Housing & Land Authority. K for Canal was used since CH would have a different sound.

The present campus of Jamia Millia Islamia university was established here in 1925. The Okhla Mandi is an important wholesale markets in Delhi, NSIC, IIIT Delhi, Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College, Meera Bai Institute of Technology, Kalkaji Temple, Lotus Temple, Okhla vihar, Okhla Railway Station, Surya Hotel, C.C and the Okhla Water Works.

Hirdesh Singh (born 15 March 1983), better known by his stage name Yo Yo Honey Singh or Honey Singh is an Indian people rapper, music producer, singer and film actor. He started as a session and recording artist, and became a Bhangra music producer. He has also begun to produce music for Bollywood films, and gone on to become one of the highest-paid music producers in Bollywood.

Early life

Singh was born on 15 March 1983 at Hoshiarpur, Punjab to a Sikh family. His birth name is Hirdesh Singh. He studied music at the Trinity School in the United Kingdom. Later on, his family moved to Delhi.

Personal life

Singh is married to Shalini Talwar Singh, whom he introduced to audience for first time on India's Raw Star TV show.

Promotion

Singh and Diljit Dosanjh's song Lak 28 Kudi Da reached No 1 in BBC Asian Download Charts in May 2011. The song was released a promotional track for Diljit Dosanjh's film Lion of Punjab.

Plot

Yo Yo is the son of a 1920s billionaire who, although having everything he fancies and living in a cavernous old castle, is not happy, fancying the simple life of a beautiful circus actress. When the stock-exchange crashes, rendering him both poor and free. Thus, he joins the circus where his love interest is performing, and fall madly in love. They have a son who starts in the circus as a clown, but later becomes a successful actor star and uses his new wealth to buy back his father's castle.
