To celebrate the release of Star Trek Into Darkness, movie and TV streaming service blinkbox worked with top illusionist Scott Penrose to perform some cunning teleportation trickery. Shoppers looked on in awe at what appeared to be the world's first successful attempt at teleportation.
The illusion was achieved using a combination of science and trickery. It caused a stir among thousands of shoppers who witnessed'volunteers from the crowd step into a high-tech unit and appear to have been 'beamed' to nearby locations in seconds.

Star Trek Into Darkness is a 2013 American science fiction action film. It is the twelfth installment in the Star Trek film franchise, and the sequel to 2009's Star Trek. The film was directed by J. J. Abrams from a screenplay by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof based on the series of the same name created by Gene Roddenberry.
Lindelof, Orci, Kurtzman and Abrams are also producers, with Bryan Burk. Chris Pine reprises his role as Captain James T. Game of Thrones series 4 is out now on blinkbox: http://blinkbox.me/SVbSdH
To celebrate the release of the fourth series of Game of Thrones on blinkbox we created this video starring 3 adorable pugs. 'The Pugs of Westeros' sees Roxy, Blue and Bono playing doggy versions of the main characters; including Joffrey Baratheon, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.
The pugs' owners, Phillip Lauer and his wife Sue, have been dressing their pugs up as characters from movies and TV since they were puppies. They normally only shoot still photography but jumped at the chance of creating a mini-movie based on one of their favourite shows.
Game of Thrones seasons 1-4 are available to buy on blinkbox now priced at £16.99 in SD and £23.99 in HD. We are also giving 1,000 extra Clubcard points with every purchase of the fourth series plus a free Tesco finest 10" pizza.

Blinkbox
Blinkbox (stylised as blinkbox) is a UK-based transactional (purchase and rental) video-on-demand (VoD) service available on Macintosh and Microsoft Windows computers, games consoles, tablet computers and Smart TVs. Content is generally streamed, with downloading currently possible on Windows PC/laptops. The Blinkbox brand has been extended to companion services offering digital music and books.
Tesco bought an 80% stake in the business in 2011 as part of a move into digital content. On 8 January 2015 the company sold Blinkbox Movies to TalkTalk Group, who stated they intended to integrate the service into its own range of services. Tesco sold Blinkbox Music to Guvera on 26 January 2015, and confirmed it would close its Blinkbox Books division at the end of February 2015.
History
The company was co-founded in 2006 by Michael Comish (he was Blinkbox's chief executive officer until June 2013 when he became Tesco Group Digital Officer) and Adrian Letts, chief operating officer of the blinkbox group of services and MD of the Movies and TV service, both former senior executives of Channel 4 and Vodafone respectively. Blinkbox was launched in October 2007 with the backing of a number of venture capital firms.

To celebrate the release of Star Trek Into Darkness, movie and TV streaming service blinkbox worked with top illusionist Scott Penrose to perform some cunning teleportation trickery. Shoppers looked on in awe at what appeared to be the world's first successful attempt at teleportation.
The illusion was achieved using a combination of science and trickery. It caused a stir among thousands of shoppers who witnessed'volunteers from the crowd step into a high-tech unit and appear to have been 'beamed' to nearby locations in seconds.
Star Trek Into Darkness is available on the blinkbox movie streaming service over a year ahead of Netflix and Lovefilm Instant priced from £3.49 to rent and £10.99 to buy: http://blinkbox.me/IntoDarkness
Star Trek Into Darkness is a 2013 American science fiction action film. It is the twelfth installment in the Star Trek film franchise, and the sequel to 2009's Star Trek. The film was directed by J. To celebrate the release of the fourth series of Game of Thrones on blinkbox we created this video starring 3 adorable pugs. 'The Pugs of Westeros' sees Roxy, Blue and Bono playing doggy versions of the main characters; including Joffrey Baratheon, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.
The pugs' owners, Phillip Lauer and his wife Sue, have been dressing their pugs up as characters from movies and TV since they were puppies. They normally only shoot still photography but jumped at the chance of creating a mini-movie based on one of their favourite shows.
Game of Thrones seasons 1-4 are available to buy on blinkbox now priced at £16.99 in SD and £23.99 in HD. We are also giving 1,000 extra Clubcard points with every purchase of the fourth series plus a free Tesco finest 10" pizza.
