I had to dump the NBC Peacock at the beginning. The glitch in the video was causing the audio to go off synch.
After over a year of searching, I finally found some of the original "Banana Splits Adventure Hour" shows. If anyone has episodes of the FULL HOUR LENGTH "Banana Splits Adventure Hour" for trade or sale, please PM me. I have no season 2 episodes, and the set I did get are from early season 1 re-broadcasts with season 2 titles and all have time codes.
Such a bummer that WB won't put the money into cleaning up and releasing season 1 and what exists of season 2 for us all to buy. Well ... at least they didn't release the half hour episodes of "The Banana Splits and Friends" with no extras, like in the UK, and leave it at that for the fans.

Here is a short collection of 'lost' clips from "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour." First, two skits from the second season (1969-1970). Both are "Fan Letters" segments (#9 "Trunk Of Bananas" and #11 "Zipper Banana"). This routine sort of replaced the "Dear Drooper" segment from the first season. Rounding it off is the original Season 1 show closing (1968-1969), with a circa 1971 Hanna-Barbera end logo.

Each show represented a meeting of the "Banana Splits Club", and the wraparounds featured the adventures of the club members, who doubled as a musical quartet, meant to be reminiscent of The Beatles and (especially) their NBC counterpart, The Monkees. The main characters were Fleegle, a beagle; Bingo, a gorilla; Drooper, a lion, and Snorky (called "Snork" in the theme song lyrics), an elephant. Fleegle would assume the role as leader of the Banana Splits and preside at club meetings.
The characters were played by actors in voluminous fleecy costumes similar to later Sid and Marty Krofft characters such as H.R. Pufnstuf. They all spoke in English (Drooper with a Southern drawl in the manner of Michael Nesmith, Fleegle with a pronounced lisp), except for Snorky who "spoke" in honking noises.

The format of the show was loosely based on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. The Banana Splits Adventure Hour premiered on NBC on September 7, 1968.

The main characters were Fleegle, a beagle; Bingo, a gorilla; Drooper, a lion, and Snorky (called "Snork" in the theme song lyrics), an elephant. Fleegle would assume the role as leader of the Banana Splits and preside at club meetings.
The characters were played by actors in voluminous fleecy costumes similar to later Sid and Marty Krofft characters such as H.R. Pufnstuf. They all spoke in English (Drooper with a Southern drawl in the manner of Michael Nesmith, Fleegle with a pronounced lisp), except for Snorky who "spoke" in honking noises.
