The highways of coastal Karnataka have beautiful roads and the early morning monsoon atmosphere makes it all the more serene. I recently travelled on Seabird Tourist's Bangalore-Goa sleeper service, which was, as are almost all long-distance buses here, an Ashok Leyland. This one's engine had an amazing turbo whistle, and I did my best to get clips during which the sounds were at their best.
Inspired by this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i06kdEwn8lI of Raymond Perrett from New Zealand which I had watched more than 2 years ago. Still one of my favourites.
PS: Yes I know the driving is a bit on the other side here, but so is the case in almost every single country. There are good, bad and ugly drivers everywhere so please refrain from generalising and enjoy the drive. Cheers!
