A.R. Rahman's “Kun Faya Kun” performed live by The Berklee Indian Ensemble at Symphony Hall, Boston. Sufism, the mystical sect of Islam, is partly characterized by its rich musical tradition, primarily based on the writings of Sufi poets such as Rumi, Amir Khusrau, and Bulleh Shah. Well known for drawing influence from his faith and the Sufi tradition, A.R. Rahman, rearranged this beautiful Qawwali by the Sufi-saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya for the 2011 film, "Rockstar," with additional lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.

Sufism, the mystical sect of Islam, is partly characterized by its rich musical tradition, primarily based on the writings of Sufi poets such as Rumi, Amir Khusrau, and Bulleh Shah. Well known for drawing influence from his faith and the Sufi tradition, A.R. Rahman, rearranged this beautiful Qawwali by the Sufi-saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya for the 2011 film, "Rockstar," with additional lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.

Jeunesse Karim TIZOUIAR de son vrai nom, né le 02 mars 1963 à sidi M'hamed (Alger), originaire de cap sigli et a grandi à Thala Tazert, village situé à 8 km d'El Kseur (wilaya de Béjaia)
À 7 ans, il jouait quelques notes et chantonnait des chansons; il participait aux fêtes scolaires avec sa guitare.
À 13 ans, Karim maîtrisait bien sa mandoline et était déjà invité à toutes les fêtes: mariages, baptêmes...
Vie à l'étranger.À 21 ans Karim arrivait à Paris, où il faisait connaissance avec de nombreux artistes comme Hamidouche, Mehdi Mezeghrane, Sophiane, Agraw et beaucoup de chanteurs.
Carrière.Début 1985, Karim chantait avec le groupe Agraw, pour lequel il a composé la chanson uliw yedekous. Deux ans après, il se mettait en solo; ses albums ont eu du succès (A YAGUITARE 1987, ATSANE THROUH (la voilà partie) 1989, WAHDI WAHDI (tout seul), SOUSTA (zen) 2002, MANETS RADJU (quand on attend) 2004 et Jaoui en 2010); prochainement des albums nouveaux qui vont toujours séduire son public et ses fans. Il est surnommé "LA MAIN DU DIABLE" grâce à sa frappe extraordinaire et sa maîtrise de la mandoline; ses albums sont commercialisés en Algérie chez tous les disquaires.
