Christopher D'Olier Reeve (September 25, 1952 – October 10, 2004) was an American actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, author, and activist. He achieved stardom for his acting achievements, in particular his motion picture portrayal of the comic book superhero Superman.
Reeve appeared in other critically acclaimed films such as Street Smart (1987) and The Remains of the Day (1993). He received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in the television remake of Rear Window (1998).
On May 27, 1995, Reeve became a quadriplegic after being thrown from a horse during an equestrian competition in Culpeper, Virginia. He required a wheelchair and a portable ventilator for the rest of his life. He lobbied on behalf of people with spinal-cord injuries and for human embryonic stem cell research, founding the Christopher Reeve Foundation and co-founding the Reeve-Irvine Research Center.
In October 2004, Reeve died suddenly of cardiac arrest at 52 while co-directing Everyone's Hero.

The best intro from a movie production company
I've always enjoyed films made by the Cannon Group and recently I watched the documentary Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films. So I decided to do a video on the Cannon films I have in my collection. Films staring action icons such as Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson and Michael Dudikoff.
In this post-“Man of Steel” era, it is perhaps worth reminding yourself that there is another truly, deeply awful Superman film out there, but watching 1987's “Superman IV: The Quest For Peace” is a horribly cruel thing to do to yourself. Instead, try this: a 1986 documentary on the mad business that was The Cannon Group, the most dynamic and radical movie studio of the '80s, who were brought low the next year when 'Superman IV' flopped. The Cannon Group was, really, just two Israeli cousins, Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan, whose very existence made Hollywood bigwigs wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, yelling incoherently about Vietnam veterans and break-dancing. Globus and Golan rode the wave of the VHS revolution by buying almost any script they could get their hands on...
Clip from a documentary produced in 1986. Menahem Golan gets upset that Christopher Reeve was asking for money on Street Smart to help the production but Menahem refused and got annoyed that Chris question their financial status and was concerned they wouldn't have the money to pay for Superman IV ($30 million) which they didn't!. Christopher Reeve was smart and he knew what was going on. Documentarul Hope in Motion (Speranta in Miscare) produs si regizat de catre fiul lui Superman, Matthew Exton Reeve, prezinta recuperarea remarcabila a lui Christopher Reeve si lupta lui constanta spre recastigarea deplina a mobilitatii sale.
A great documentary from 1985 that has pretty much everything. Also of note is Phil Tippett's stop motion short "Prehistoric Beast," which forms the basis of this documentary and won Tippett an Emmy for Special Visual Effects.
DINOSAUR! Hosted by Christopher Reeve
There's a 5 year old upload of this already on YT, but I think this will look slightly better, and it has some goofy trailer junk at the front.
Christopher Reeve stars in this thriller that centers around a super smart cop who is wounded on duty while conducting a raid... He is now bound to a wheelchair... Soon a mystery unfolds when his wife and brother end up dead in his home... A fellow cop tries to pin the murder on Dempsey and it comes to a sudden and violent end... Chris has his accident just days after the movie was finished.. I OWN NOTHING AND NO INFRINGEMENT IS INTENDED The DVD is out of print...
This is a retelling of the great escape of British Officers from Stalag Luft 3, a story previously told in 1963's The Great Escape starring James Garner and Steve McQueen. This movie shows the aftermath, as Allied investigators track down the SS officers who murdered fifty of the escapees.
One of the most difficult series of interviews for me to watch....He was such a joyful, full of life ,nice person to work with.....What a loss....in case you never knew him...this interview will help you get a feel for him..... Christopher D'Olier Reeve[1] (September 25, 1952 — October 10, 2004) was an American actor, director, producer, and writer. He established himself early as a Juilliard-trained stage actor before portraying Superman/Kal-El/Clark Kent in four films, from 1978 to 1987. On May 27 1995, Christopher Reeve was paralyzed in an accident during the cross country portion of an Eventing competition. He was confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Although Reeve was tall enough for the role and had the blue eyes and handsome features, his physique was slim. He refused t...

http://haphazardstuff.com Christopher Reeve returns for his fourth and final appearance as Superman. When the family Salkind relinquished their rights to Superman the Cannon Group picked them up and went about to continue the Superman film franchise on the cusp of the characters fiftieth anniversary. They corralled several past cast members to come back for the sequel, but most importantly convinced Reeve to return with added creative control on the production. Promising a big-budget super epic adventure with a topical real world issue, the film ended up becoming something very different thanks to a dramatically slashed budget, a lousy script and Cannon's business practices. 1987's Superman IV: The Quest For Peace would end up being an embarrassment for all involved and ignored by fans. ...
