Leave!

"Leave!" is a song by English recording artist V V Brown from her debut studio album Travelling Like the Light. It was released on March 2, 2009 as the album's second single and was accompanied by a music video. This single, like her debut single "Crying Blood" failed to reach the charts.

Critical reception

Digitalspy gave the song 4 out of 5 stars; they said this about the song "The song itself, which mixes girl group pop with Ronson-esque beats and a hint of new wave, is just as direct as her message, but a whole lot easier to swallow. Thank heavens she chose to sweeten the pill!". The review was mostly positive. It was also the first song by VV Brown to be reviewed on digitalspy because for some reason "Crying Blood" wasn't put onto their data base when it was released.

Femalefirst.co.uk also gave the song 4 out of 5 stars. They started the review by comparing her to other successful voices saying "VV Brown is the newest singer to try and make some cash out of a panda that sounds like Amy Winehouse / Duffy / Adele and all credit to her, she does it well. Fair enough, it might not be the most original sound of all time". They ended the review positively by saying "Her funky doo-wap-de-doo-wap sound brings something back to the music industry that seemed to have disappeared many years ago as the like of bubble gum pop came onto the scene. Her no-frills attitude, mixed with the perfect blend of 50’s pop and (at the very end) almost MC-ing sound make VV Brown one to watch in 2009".

Sertab Erener

Sertab Erener (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈseɾtap eɾeˈneɾ]; born 4 December 1964) is a Turkish pop music singer and also a cross-over soprano with a vocal range that extends to high F. She is one of the most successful female Turkish pop singers in her homeland, and is considered one of the divas of Turkish pop music. In Europe, she is best known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with her hit song "Every Way That I Can", although she has had many other achievements outside Turkey.

Career

A native of Istanbul, Erener studied opera before beginning her musical career working with Turkish music icon, Sezen Aksu.

She released her first album, Sakin Ol, in 1992, and followed it with four more Turkish-language albums over the next decade. Her album Lâ'l was included by Sony Music in its "Soundtrack for a Century" collection.

After competing unsuccessfully in two national Eurovision Song Contest finals in 1989 and 1990, she was internally selected in 2003 and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, representing Turkey with the song "Every Way That I Can", co-written by Demir Demirkan. The song went on to top charts in countries all over Europe, including Sweden and Greece.

Leave (U.S. military)

In the United States Military, leave is permission to be away from one's unit for a specific period of time.

Entitlement

Under normal circumstances, all personnel are granted 30 days of leave per year. This time is usually used for vacations and other extended time periods away from the service that are longer than three days or need to be taken in the middle of the week. Leave is accumulated at the rate of 2.5 days per month. A member's leave is annotated in the monthly Leave and Earnings Statement.

Under 5 U.S.C. §6323(a)(1), federal employees who are reservists are allowed “15 days” of annual paid leave for reserve or National Guard training. Prior to 2000, the Justice Department, as had other federal agencies, included days employees were not scheduled to work but would be at reserve training when calculating how much leave an employee used. This miscalculation resulted in the Federal Appeal of Butterbaugh v. Department of Justice, 336 F.3d 1332 (Fed. Cir. 2003). The Butterbaugh Decision changed things for these reservists and would result in many more federal employees finding their reservist time wrongly charged.

Sweater

A sweater (American English) is a knitted garment intended to cover the torso and arms. A sweater is either a pullover or a cardigan, distinguished in that cardigans open at the front while pullovers do not. In British English, a pullover may also be called a jumper or jersey, and there is no hypernym equivalent to sweater covering both pullovers and cardigans.

Sweaters are worn by adults and children of all genders; often over a shirt, blouse, T-shirt, or other top, but sometimes next to the skin. Sweaters were traditionally made from wool, but can now be made of cotton, synthetic fibers, or any combination thereof. Sweaters are maintained by washing or dry cleaning, and the use of a lint roller or pill razor.

Types and design

The term "sweater" is a catch-all for a variety of knit garments. Although the term often refers to a pullover, it can also refer to a cardigan, a garment that opens and fastens down the front. Within either group, there is a great variety of design. Various necklines are found, although the V-neck, turtleneck and the crew neck are the most popular. The waistline is typically at hip height or slightly longer, just overlapping the waist of one's pants or skirt, but can vary significantly. It can range from just below the bust in women's garments to mid-thigh in either sex, or even longer in a knitted variation of the poncho shirtdress. The sleeve length is also variable, ranging from full-length or three-quarters to short-sleeved, cap sleeves or sleeveless. The front seam or opening of a cardigan allows for further different styles, such as a surplice or a bolero jacket. All hems may have various types of borders, such as picots, ribbing and frills.

Justin Suarez

Justin Suarez is a fictional character on the American comedy-drama series Ugly Betty which is an adaptation of the Colombian telenovela Betty la fea. He is portrayed by actor Mark Indelicato. Justin lives with his mother Hilda, his aunt Betty, and his grandfather Ignacio. His biological father is Santos who is murdered in the finale of Season 1.

Justin is quite fashion conscious and exhibits model-like behavior, such as commenting on his own body image and being food conscious. His knowledge about the fashion industry, from reading MODE, where Betty works, and watching Fashion TV, is among the reasons his aunt influences him. Justin exhibits stereotypical gay behavior which propels some of the storylines including his involvement in performing arts. As a young teenager, his adolescent sexuality was still being developed in storylines until the end of the series. It is revealed in Season 4 that Justin is gay.

Slate magazine named the character as one of the reasons they were looking forward to the return of the show in fall 2007.

Sonny J Mason

Justin Osuji (born Glasgow, Scotland), best known by his current alias Sonny J Mason, is a Scottish singer, songwriter, and producer whose style combines "hints of R&B, soul, funk and disco." Mason was signed as a singer-songwriter to Virgin Records at age 14, and his first four singles, released under the name Justin, all reached Top 40 positions in the UK Singles Chart in the late 1990s. His debut album Finally was released in 2000 on Innocent Records, and that year he was awarded The Young Scottish Achievers Award from Queen Elizabeth II.

His first album as Sonny J Mason, his Life Is the Music EP, was released in 2008, and he has since appeared as a guest vocalist on tracks by artists such as deep house DJ Miguel Migs. As a producer Mason has remixed or produced tracks for artists such as Faith Evans, Pleasure P, Kimbra, Gabrielle, Loveable Rogues, The Wanted, and Elyar Fox and has co-written music with songwriters and producers such as No I.D., Mike Elizondo, Big Jim, Warren Campbell, Keefus Ciancia, Dee Kay, Karen Poole, Andy Taylor, and Henry Jackman. In 2012 Mason co-wrote the song "Come into My Head" with New Zealand pop artist Kimbra and Keith Ciancia. The song won two awards at The International Songwriting Competition in 2013.

A Tian (album)

A Tian (Chinese: 阿田 "A Tian", "our little Tian") is Justin Lo's fourth studio album which was released on September 30, 2008. It was his first released album since Gold Label Records and acquire EMI Music Taiwan / EMI Music China (Typhoon Records) in 2008, reforming to Gold Typhoon Entertainment Ltd..
