So we went out to see what people really felt when we asked them what came to mind after hearing the word Islam. This was an extreme wake up call as the call for dawah becomes more and more relevant everyday. Remember dawah is not just about converting people but changing the negative hearts and minds to a more positive one about Islam and spreading the TRUTH! This is the reason why us Muslims must never rely on the media to give dawah on OUR religion.

As someone on IMDB said "were the filmmakers intentionally competing to see who could come up with the most ridiculous looking aliens? When it comes to getting laughs, the bug-eyed beetle-browed killers from space are second only to Corman's conquering turnip. But it's a close second, and they get a good deal more speaking lines and screen time. Modern film makers actually trying to make their monsters amusing have never been able to create aliens as hilarious as this."

How people in London REALLY feel about Islam - || AKHI FILMS ||
So we went out to see what people really felt when we asked them what came to mind after hearing the word Islam. This was an extreme wake up call as the call for dawah becomes more and more relevant everyday. Remember dawah is not just about converting people but changing the negative hearts and minds to a more positive one about Islam and spreading the TRUTH! Daredevil Films Himself Surfing On Top Of Double Decker Central London LBC
Incredibly, the act was a tribute to a New York "surfer" who died while trying to ride the top of a train in the US earlier this week. Ignoring the risk, the British man - known by the moniker DylingLlama online - climbed onto the top of a bus as it went around Elephant and Castle. Posting the video, he wrote: "Technically, this isn’t “illegal” cause it’s only a civil matter here in the UK :)." At the start of the video he can be seen climbing onto the top of the vehicle from a tree. At one point when the bus pulls up a stop, he even waves at some people waiting.

An impressive 248 feature and documentary films are being screened at this year’s London Film Festival.
Many of them tackle issues of race and diversity, like Amma Asante’s ‘A United Kingdom’, chosen to kick off the festival, marking the first time a black female director opened the event.
Starring David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike, the film is inspired by the true-life romance between the first president of Botswana and his English wife.
“We need to see more films that reflect the society we actually live in, especially because of how influential film, TV, media in general is, culturally,” said Oyelowo. “I mean the estimation of who we are, what we believe in as human beings is very much rooted in the films we see because they are supposedly a reflection of the lives we live and the societies we live in.”
The film was shot both in the UK and in Botswana, where it is partially set, which Amma Asante said was crucial for telling the story: “It’s not a generic story, it’s a specific story about that country and its journey towards independence, some of its journey. So for me, it’s really important that if you are doing that you have a respect for the country, you have a respect for the people and you have some of its DNA in your film, to be able to absorb what the traditions meant, you know, metaphorically. I think it’s really important if you are able to wake up and see the sunrises in the country that you are going to tell the story of,” said the film’s director.
Also screening at the London Film Festival – Barry Jenkins’ gay black drama ‘Moonlight’, which has already garnered Oscar buzz for its subject matter and performances.
Set in Miami in the 1980’s, the film tells the protagonist’s story in three chapters – as a skinny child picked on by his peers, a bullied teenager trying to understand his sexuality, and as a hardened man who goes by the name ‘Black’.
Executive produced by Brad Pitt, the film is based on Tarell McCraney’s play ‘In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue’.
“When I read Tarell’s (McCraney) piece it grabbed me in such a way that I thought it would be cowardly to not make it,” said Jenkins. “To be moved, so moved by something, and as someone who’s a visual storyteller, to not create… at least attempt to create a story out of it would have been, I think, a cowardly act. So, again, I’m happy that the movie is getting the attention it is but at first it was about doing justice to the characters.”
Also receiving its European debut in London, Bollywood love story ‘Mirzya’, which marks the debut of Harshvardhan Kapoor, the son of Slumdog Millionaire star Anil Kapoor.
The London Film Festival runs until October 16.

Junkie Ma (a tightly-wound Naomie Harris) is no help in navigating these waters, so Chiron turns to local drug kingpin Juan (played with charismatic gravitas by Mahershala Ali), who offers the kind of leadership and emotional support that he so sorely needs. And Juan’s relationship with his girlfriend (Janelle Monáe in an auspicious onscreen debut) offers the blueprint for an equal relationship. Based on the play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Tarell Alvin McCraney and journeying across three time periods, we witness key moments in the formation of Chiron’s masculinity and how in turn, these moments come to define his sexuality. Barry Jenkins’ debut feature Medicine For Melancholy (LFF2008) earned him many fans, including Steven Soderbergh and Brad Pitt, who is a producer here. Based on the play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Tarell Alvin McCraney and journeying across three time periods, we witness key moments in the formation of Chiron’s masculinity and how in turn, these moments come to define his sexuality. Barry Jenkins’ debut feature Medicine For Melancholy (LFF2008) earned him many fans, including Steven Soderbergh and Brad Pitt, who is a producer here. Moonlight makes good on that film’s promise, delivering a restrained yet intoxicating story with genuine emotional power. IT'S ALMOST A YEAR since anti-capitalist protestors, intending to set up camp in front of the London Stock Exchange in Paternoster Square under the banner of Occupy LSX, were ejected from the square and parked themselves instead in front of St Paul's Cathedral. The result was one of the starting points for this film: a highly public debate about capitalism and the Church.
But there was also another power acting in the shadows to eventually eject the Occupiers - the City of London Corporation. An ancient body which dates back before William the Conqueror, before there was a parliament in Westminster, which zealously guards its autonomy and privileges to this day.
This is our subject: a secret state within a state, with deleterious effects on democracy, politics and economics in London, the country, and the world, for the City is joint headquarters with Wall Street of global finance capital. In short, 'Secret City' isn't just a film for Londoners - especially in these times of crisis, the role of the City concerns everyone everywhere.
'Secret City' is a minimal budget film by Michael Chanan and Lee Salter which investigates the history and contemporary role of the City of London Corporation. We tell the story though interviews with politicians, academics, writers, activists and campaigners, counterpointed with unfamiliar archive footage and a musical score by Simon Zagorski-Thomas taken from the nursery rhyme 'Oranges and Lemons'.

Original titled SPACE MEN but released in the USA as ASSIGNMENT OUTER SPACE, this is a 1960 science fiction film starring Rik Van Nutter (gotta love that name!) and directed by Antonio Margheriti and produced by Samuel Z. Arkoff.
It follows an assignment by Interplanetary News reporter Ray Peterson aboard a space station in the 21st century. Despite problems with the base commander, he is eventually responsible for stopping a space ship which threatens to destroy the Earth.
It was director Antonio Margheriti's first assignment, and this film showed what quality he could deliver while working with a minuscule budget.
This film is interesting for having a black protagonist, American choreographer, Archie Savage, in a pivotal role. It reminds us of FIRST MEN ON VENUS, the film based on the classic Lem story, its full of library music and science waffle, but a really interesting watch, trying hard to feel 'factual'
