Bangkok Street Food Market near Bangkok’s biggest food market,
Klong Toey Market,
Bangkok, Thailand. ตลาดคลองเตยThai street food and shopping at a market in Bangkok.
This is a street food and restaurant market across the road from Klong Toey Market, the biggest wholesale fresh food market in Bangkok. This area is a fascinating place to explore when you visit Bangkok, with a huge range of fresh and prepared food including loads of delicious
Thai street food. You’ll find masses of fruit, vegetables, seafood and meat, at Klong Toey Market and it is said that half of the food eaten in Bangkok originates from there.
As well as food you’ll also find lots of stores selling clothes and shoes, cooking equipment and kitchenware, catering goods and all other manner of Thai cooking ingredients in this area.
The market in this video is open from around 7am till 5pm. Klong Toey Market is officially open from 6:00am till 2:00am, but in reality it is open
24 hours a day, every day of the year. The best time to visit is early in the morning from about 4:00 am to 8:00 am, by 9am things are already getting quieter.
You’ll find Klong Toey Market on the corner of Ratchada and
Rama IV roads. You can get the
MRT underground train to either the Khlong Toey or
Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre stations, and walk for about 5 -10 minutes to reach the market.
Thai Street Food is really delicious, it’s a must to try if you’re on holidays in Thailand. Thailand food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic
Thai food, or to buy groceries and fruit while you travel in Thailand. There are so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating street food is perfectly safe.
It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly.
I’ve been eating it for 3 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!
The markets in Thailand are a great place to get an insight into
Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant.
