According to preliminary data, three militants have been killed during a special operation in the south of Russia’s North Caucasus Republic of Dagestan, where the regime of a counter-terrorism operation was imposed earlier on Sunday, a source in the republic’s law enforcement agencies has told TASS.
"According to preliminary data, three suspicious persons were discovered in the south of Dagestan, in the area where the counter-terrorism operation regime had been put in place overnight on Sunday. When security forces tried to detain them, they opened fire and were killed by reprisal fire. Their identifies are being established," the scource said.
According to him, there are no casualties among security forces officers.
