The wild man (also wildman, or "wildman of the woods", archaically woodwose or wodewose) is a mythical figure that appears in the artwork and literature of medieval Europe, comparable to the satyr or faun type in classical mythology and to Silvanus, the Roman god of the woodlands.
The defining characteristic of the figure is its "wildness"; from the 12th century they were consistently depicted as being covered with hair. Images of wild men appear in the carved and painted roof bosses where intersecting ogee vaults meet in the Canterbury Cathedral, in positions where one is also likely to encounter the vegetal Green Man. The image of the wild man survived to appear as supporter for heraldic coats-of-arms, especially in Germany, well into the 16th century. Renaissance engravers in Germany and Italy were particularly fond of wild men, wild women, and wild families, with examples from Martin Schongauer (died 1491) and Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528) among others.
The first element of this word is usually explained as from wudu "wood, forest". The second element is less clear. It has been identified as a hypothetical noun wāsa "being", from the verb wesan, wosan "to be, to be alive". The Old English form is unattested, but it would have been wudu-wāsa or wude-wāsa.
Barack Hussein Obama II (i/bəˈrɑːk huːˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə/; born August 4, 1961) is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office. In January 2005, Obama was sworn in as a U.S. Senator in the state of Illinois. He would hold this office until November 2008, when he resigned following his victory in the 2008 presidential election.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review. He was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree. He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. He served three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004.
Following an unsuccessful bid against the Democratic incumbent for a seat in the United States House of Representatives in 2000, Obama ran for the United States Senate in 2004. Several events brought him to national attention during the campaign, including his victory in the March 2004 Illinois Democratic primary for the Senate election and his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He won election to the U.S. Senate in Illinois in November 2004. His presidential campaign began in February 2007, and after a close campaign in the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries against Hillary Rodham Clinton, he won his party's nomination. In the 2008 presidential election, he defeated Republican nominee John McCain, and was inaugurated as president on January 20, 2009. Nine months later, Obama was named the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. In April 2011, he announced that he would be running for re-election in 2012.

Plot: The revelry of an upscale Halloween party is shattered by gunshots when two armed robbers attempt to fleece the well-to-do patrons of their money and jewels. A diminutive cloaked figure steps out from the crowd and despite being shot multiple times, effortlessly dispenses with the thieves. These superhuman feats do not go unnoticed and when news of them reaches the Secretary of Defense, Arthur Hayes (Tom Cochran), he dispatches FBI Agent Dan Higgins (Beau Nelson) to track the figure down. Higgin's quest turns ominous when he discovers he is attempting to track down a vampire, but not just any vampire - the Empress Vampire (Ange Maya), the source from which all other vampires descended! Higgins then enlists the aid of Ivor Helsing, a vampire hunter (Garrett Brawith), and Ariana , a psychic (Laura Contenescue), who are also intent on tracking the Empress down. The Empress Vampire is no ordinary vampire. She craves more than mere blood. She is carnal as well as carnivorous and sexually exhausts her prey before satisfying her need for their blood. As she kills, the Empress savagely mutilates her victims and toys with their entrails. But is she the evil one, or is she being sought by a more malevolent force? Not for the squeamish or easily-offended. Empress Vampire is a journey into darkness - the darkness of ancient evil, the darkness of human greed, and the darkness of the perversion of the Empress Vampire.

Because the general Dionysius is infatuated with Calanthe, Pythias' sweetheart, he sends the soldier to fight the Carthaginians at the Battle of Agrigentum. During the wedding ceremony for Pythias and Calanthe, Dionysius has himself proclaimed sovereign while Damon is absent from the Senate. Shocked, Damon attempts to assassinate Dionysius, but he fails and is sentenced to death. In order for Damon to say goodbye to his wife and son, Pythias leaves Calanthe and takes his friend's place in prison, offering to die in Damon's place if he does not return. Despite several tests of the strength of their friendship, they remain loyal to each other and so impress Dionysius that he allows them both to go free.
