Krrish series

Krrish is a franchise of Indian science fiction films, superhero films, television series, comics and video games. The film series is directed, produced and written by Rakesh Roshan. It is considered Indian cinema's first such film series. All three films starred Rakesh's son Hrithik Roshan, and were scored by his brother Rajesh Roshan. The films are centred, initially, on a mentally handicapped boy who has an encounter with an extraterrestrial being, and later, his son, who grows up to be a reluctant superhero. The first two films were blockbusters in the Indian market, and hits in the overseas markets. The third film was released on 1 November 2013 and was declared a blockbuster shattering many box office records grossing over ₹3 billion (US$44 million) at the box office. In 2013, an animated television series based on this Krrish film series, and named Kid Krrish, aired on Cartoon Network India. It also spawned a spin-off animation-cum-live-action series titled J Bole Toh Jadoo that aired on Nickelodeon (India).Krrish 3 was the first Indian film to launch its own official Facebook Emoticons as part of promotion.

Krrish

Krrish ([ˈkrɪʃ]) is a 2006 Indian science fiction superhero film directed, produced, and written by Rakesh Roshan, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Rekha and Naseeruddin Shah. It is the second film in the Krrish series, being the sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya, and relates the story of Krishna, the son of the previous film's protagonists, who inherits his father's superhuman abilities. After falling in love with Priya, he follows her to Singapore, where he takes on the persona of "Krrish" to keep his identity secret while saving children from a burning circus. From that moment on he is regarded as a superhero, and must later thwart the plans of the evil Dr. Siddhant. The film is inspired from the Hollywood film Paycheck

Krrish was conceived to be a film of global significance and a trendsetter in Indian cinema, with visual effects on par with those from Hollywood. To that end, the effects team was aided by Hollywood's Marc Kolbe and Craig Mumma, and the stunts were choreographed by Chinese martial arts film expert Tony Ching. The music was composed by Rajesh Roshan, with the background score by Salim-Sulaiman. Filming was done to a large extent in Singapore as well as India. The film was released worldwide in June 2006 at a cost of over ₹450 million (US$6.6 million) and on 1000 prints, both near-record amounts for an Indian film at the time.

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan (/ˈrɪtɪk ˈrɒʃən/, born 10 January 1974) is an Indian film actor. He has established a successful career in Bollywood, has won six Filmfare Awards, and has been cited in the media as one of the most attractive male celebrities in India.

After making small appearances as a child actor in several films throughout 1980s, Roshan made his film debut with a leading role in his father Rakesh Roshan's romantic thriller Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000). His performance in the film earned him Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut. He followed it with leading roles in Fiza (2000) and Mission Kashmir (2000) and the ensemble blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). After several critically and commercially unsuccessful films, he starred in the science fiction film Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) and its sequel Krrish (2006); the former won him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Roshan received his third Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in the adventure film Dhoom 2 (2006), and his fourth win was for the historical romance Jodhaa Akbar (2008). He received acclaim for his work as a paraplegic in Guzaarish (2010). His other notable films include the drama Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), the revenge film Agneepath (2012), and the superhero film Krrish 3 (2013); the latter two rank among the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. These accomplishments have established him as a leading actor in Bollywood.

Little Krishna

Little Krishna is a 3D computer-animated series which is a co-creation between BIG Animation and India Heritage Foundation (promoted by Akshaya Patra Foundation). The series started showing on Indian television on Nickelodeon from 11 May 2009.

It depicts the childhood pastimes of Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who appeared in the village of Vrindavana. The stories of the animated series revolve around Little Krishna, the land of Vrindavan and the life of villagers there. There are currently 13, 23-minute episodes in the series. Using the traditional tales of Krishna's childhood adventures as a foundation, the tonality of the stories is both light-hearted and, at times, serious.

Little Krishna is a lovable and mischievous character who enjoys helping his friends and villagers. Based on the chronicles of Srimad Bhagavatam and the writings of the Six Goswamis of Vrindavana, the series is an outcome of seven years of research by the devotees of ISKCON Bangalore with two and half years of production work by BIG Animation. Scripted by Emmy Award winner Jeffrey Scott and researched by Chanchalapati Dasa, Chamari Devi Dasi and Bhaktilata Devi Dasi, the series was based on the teachings of HDG A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
