Barehanded is the second album by folk artist Hugh Blumenfeld. It was released in 1993 (see 1993 in music) by Prime CD.
Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball league. A total of 30 teams now play in two divisions, the American League (AL) and National League (NL), with 15 teams in each. The AL and NL operated as separate legal entities from 1901 and 1876 respectively, until 2000, when they were merged into a single organization known as Major League Baseball. After cooperating but remaining legally separate entities since 1903, in 2000 the leagues merged into a single organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball. The organization also oversees minor league baseball leagues, which comprise about 240 teams affiliated with the major-league clubs. With the World Baseball Softball Confederation, MLB manages the international World Baseball Classic tournament.
Baseball's first professional team was founded in Cincinnati in 1869. The first few decades of professional baseball were characterized by rivalries between leagues and by players who often jumped from one team or league to another. The period before 1920 in baseball was known as the dead-ball era; players rarely hit home runs during this time. Baseball survived a conspiracy to fix the 1919 World Series, which came to be known as the Black Sox Scandal. The sport rose in popularity in the 1920s, and survived potential downturns during the Great Depression and World War II. Shortly after the war, baseball's color barrier was broken by Jackie Robinson.
Pattern Recognition is a novel by science fiction writer William Gibson published in 2003. Set in August and September 2002, the story follows Cayce Pollard, a 32-year-old marketing consultant who has a psychological sensitivity to corporate symbols. The action takes place in London, Tokyo, and Moscow as Cayce judges the effectiveness of a proposed corporate symbol and is hired to seek the creators of film clips anonymously posted to the internet.
The novel's central theme involves the examination of the human desire to detect patterns or meaning and the risks of finding patterns in meaningless data. Other themes include methods of interpretation of history, cultural familiarity with brand names, and tensions between art and commercialization. The September 11, 2001 attacks are used as a motif representing the transition to the new century. Critics identify influences in Pattern Recognition from Thomas Pynchon's postmodern detective story The Crying of Lot 49.
Pattern Recognition is Gibson's eighth novel and his first one to be set in the contemporary world. Like his previous work, it has been classified as a science fiction and postmodern novel, with the action unfolding along a thriller plot line. Critics approved of the writing but found the plot unoriginal and some of the language distracting. The book peaked at number four on the New York Times Best Seller list, was nominated for the 2003 British Science Fiction Association Award, and was shortlisted for the 2004 Arthur C. Clarke Award and Locus Awards.

Deer hunting by catching a wild feral (pest) deer with just my hands - no guns, traps, tools or weapons - the true test of man vs nature which requires patience and persistence. These feral deer can carry the same diseases that can infect domestic stock, they can also damage native vegetation and forestry plantations through their eating and cause irreparable damage on the Australian environment. This video was made to raise awareness of the nature of this animal and it's destruction on the environment, it was released safely and unharmed. Capturing a deer barehanded is very dangerous and should not be attempted by anyone who does not have experience handling wild animals. Shooting deer either for recreational deer hunting with dogs or by paid, trained marksmen is the main form of pest...

Catching the red fox barehanded as it's a problem for Australian wildlife - this pest has implicated in the extinction and decline of several native Australian species including ground-nesting birds, small to medium sized mammals and reptiles with additional significant economic losses to farmers by preying on newborn lambs, kid goats and poultry animals. The fox is a cunning animal, his den is close by but with the right techniques he can't hide for too long without me finding his burrow - this European Red Fox gets a good bite on me but it releases quickly and I am able to show him off. The fox was released safely and unharmed :) Watch Ucles vs Africa: https://www.andrewucles.com/adventures/ucles-vs-africa/ Subscribe for more wild videos! ► http://bit.ly/AUsubscribe http://www.and...
