Zaza Pachulia (Georgian: ზაზა ფაჩულია; February 10, 1984) is a Georgian professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born as Zaur Pachulia, but his first name was legally changed to Zaza.
While he holds Turkish citizenship, Pachulia plays internationally for Georgia, captaining his national team in multiple tournaments.
Pachulia was a very successful basketball player at a very early age in Georgia. He was approximately 6 feet 8 inches (2.03 meters) at the age of 13. He was scouted and recruited by the Turkish professional team Ülkerspor when he was a teenager. He became a member of the Georgian junior national basketball team at a young age, leading them at center to beat other Eastern European rivals, such as Belarus and Bulgaria.
Once he distinguished himself with Ülkerspor, Pachulia was drafted in the second round by the Orlando Magic during the 2003 NBA draft. After being selected in the 2004 expansion draft by the Charlotte Bobcats, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks where he played the 2004–05 season. While with the Bucks, Pachulia averaged 6.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game off the bench.

Dallas new man crush. Criminal that there's been no highlights on him posted on youtube. 15 points, 12 rebounds(4 offensive) against a great player(Favors) and a formidable defensive front court(Gobert). Averaging 10.6pts - 10 rbs - 2 asts. Drawing fouls(5.5 fta) and making fts 79%. What doesn't show up on the stat sheet: how he's been brutalizing people setting screens and boxing out. He makes smart plays all the time. The grit. The toughness. The intimidation. Great hands. Good passing skills. He doesn't rush. He plays methodically. You can play through him. Outstading start of the season for a guy who has basically already growing a cult status 13 games into the season in Dallas. Thank you Jason Kidd for being so kind to the Mavericks.

The one thing you can take away from Zaza Pachulia's insane rebounding night is this: Brook Lopez just really, really sucks at rebounding. That's all there is to it, really. Zaza can no longer jump or run, but he understands how to get rebounds, and his savvy positioning allowed him to retrieve rebounds that were, by all rights, not his to retrieve. This is because Brook Lopez can only rebound a ball if a.) it comes right to him and b.) there is nobody else nearby trying to get it. Everybody should be circling April 10th on their calendars. That is when the Bucks next play the Knicks, and that is the day when we will see Zaza grab 30 rebounds while Andrea Bargnani stands in the corner and whines about not having enough Primo pasta and sauce. Or it will be the day when Zaza is his usual...

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a rejuvenated JaVale McGee up to his old tricks. The NBA just hasn't been the same without him, and I'm not even talking about all that BS Shaqtin stuff. I'm talking about big blocks and even bigger slam-jams. And, yes, some funny faces thrown in for good measure. Sadly, Zaza Pachulia seems to have the starting center position locked down for the Mavericks, a position I thought JaVale had secured when he went to Dallas. Can't have everything, I guess, even if successful Dirk-to-JaVale lobs and unsuccessful JaVale-to-Dirk lobs would have been the most fun thing ever. Tonight was a perfect microcosm of Java Bean's game: nothing but dunks, blocks, and goaltends. Enjoy it, and while doing so, remember how dreary the NBA seemed without his enlightening pre...
Finally! JaVale McGee is back, and we can put Zaza Pachulia to rest forever. I don't care how well he may have been playing, his time is over now, and the chapter in the Mavericks' novel entitled "Zaza leading us nowhere" can at last be wrapped up. Remember, Cuban promised JaVale the starter's job and to have the offense run through him. At least, I think they promised that to Java Bean, someone like him at least. This is his team now, in any case. It'll take him a bit to shake the rust off after hardly playing the last two years, but once he does, DAMN. Lobs to JaVale from Dirk. Attempted lobs to Dirk from JaVale. Zaza sitting on the bench popping his shoulder zits. The future looks bright down there in Dallas. All clips property of the NBA. Nate Wolters was allegedly a great scorer in college (I wouldn't know, who watches college basketball anyway?). It bothers me that, in the NBA, he's trying to be more of a distributing PG. Um, excuse me, you averaged over 20 PPG your senior year, how about you just hog the ball and try to channel the spirit of Allen Iverson? The Bucks aren't going to win the game no matter who does what, so Nate should just get the green light. If he gets hot right now, I bet he can still win rookie of the year. Honestly, anything is better than watching Zaza Pachulia try to score the ball. These eyes have seen terrible things; these eyes are witness to some of the most heinous atrocities ever committed on a basketball court. Deliver me from this madness, oh great Nate. Jabari Parker opened his eyes to a squint. The light around him was too bright to open them any further. He thought at first that he was on some kind of examining table in a hospital, but as he took note of what surroundings he could see through the slit of his eyelids, he quickly realized that, wherever he was, it was definitely not a hospital. Jabari had no time to ponder his location further as he suddenly remembered what he had been doing right before he had been (taken? abducted?) to this place. His hands immediately went to his left knee, which had buckled underneath him not two minutes before. There had definitely been a "pop", and that meant an almost guaranteed ACL or MCL tear...but Jabari didn't feel any pain at all. A woman's smiling face leaned over him. "Pain does not exist ...

Jabari Parker, clad only in his underwear and shivering, placed the first bratwurst in his mouth, gagging at its unappetizing texture. Zaza Pachulia looked on amusedly as the stopwatch ran in his hand. "If you have trouble with first brat, imagine how number 10 feel! Remember, no puke or you lose and receive mocking!" Jabari looked around at his fellow participants in the "Bradley Center Bratwurst Barbarity" team-building exercise: Damien Inglis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nate Wolters, and Johnny O'Bryant. Each wore are a similar disgusted look on their face as they attempted to force uncooked brats, complete with bun, into their protesting maws. The bitter Milwaukee cold did not help matters. Ersan Ilyasova chided the young players. "It not so bad, don't be weak. Miroslav would be already...
The Atlanta Hawks honored Zaza Pachulia for his eight years with the franchise during the game against Pachulia's new team, the Milwaukee Bucks.
Games 1 and 2 were Celtic routs, keyed by great team defense (Atlanta averaged 79 points in the first 2 games) and balanced Celtic scoring (six players were in double figures in Game 1, five in Game 2). The most buzz was generated by Mike Bibby stating that Celtic fans were bandwagoners after Game 1, prompting boos every time he touched the ball in Game 2.[2] In Game 3, Atlanta showed its athleticism with an array of dunks from Josh Smith (26 points) and a strong interior performance by the rookie Al Horford (17 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists), who also jawed with Paul Pierce near the end of the game. There would be more jawing in Game 4 between Zaza Pachulia and Kevin Garnett, but the outcome was a surprise: thanks to fourth quarter heroics by Joe Johnson and Smith, who combined to score...
Ilgauskas gets mad at Pachulia during the Heat / Hawks game on 4/11/11. Ilgauskas was fouled by Pachulia on the previous possession. Then elbow makes contact with face and Ilgauskas throws the ball at him! He then gets thrown out of the game. Two guys with funny names in an altercation. In the Heat / Celtics game on 4/10, the day before this, Lebron James threw a ball at someone too, but nothing was called. I like how Heat players throw balls at people.

Oh my dearest
What words describe
Which feeling grows inside my heart
Oh the sunset comes
And a perfect glowing sun still shines inside
Many miles you're far away
Could this passion lead the way
Lead you safely in my arms
Been through fire and kiss and glass
All this time seems like a blink
Something spoken something missed
Could forever be the truth
Or just never in advance
My desire and your green eyes
Fit to me like summer skies
Come together in the end
Never gone never forget
Oh the autumn
When will you see the falling leaves
My falling eyes
Oh the nightfall
