Sivakarthikeyan

Sivakarthikeyan (born 17 February 1985) is an Indian as stand-up comedian, television anchor and film actor working in the Tamil film industry. He made his debut in the movie Marina and Manam Kothi Paravai (2012) before making a breakthrough in 2013 with Ethir Neechal (2013) and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (2013).

Personal life

Sivakarthikeyan was born in Singampunari. His father was police officer, and he has a sister, who is a doctor in Tiruchirapalli. He completed his schooling in Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Tiruchirappalli and then undertook his Bachelor of Computer Engineering at JJ College of Engineering and Technology and he also completed MBA in Indian Institute of Planning and Management Chennai. He married Aarthi on 27 August 2010 and has a baby girl Aaradhana, born on 22 October 2013.

Career

2008–2012

During his college days he took part in various cultural events and performed mimicry and standup comedy on stage. Between his engineering graduation and the commencement of his MBA course he had three months break and during this period his friends convinced him to go for auditions of Kalakka Povathu Yaaru, a reality show for comedy aired on STAR Vijay. Despite initial reluctance to participate, he won the show. He then continued his television appearances by participating in dance-reality shows, pairing up with Aishwarya Prabhakar in Jodi Number One Season 3 and then in Boys Vs Girls Season 1 and 2.

Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam

Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (English: The Association of Carefree Youths) is a 2013 Tamil romantic comedy film directed by Ponram, a former assistant of directors M. Rajesh and S. A. Chandrasekhar. It stars Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj and Sri Divya. The film was produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures and has music by D. Imman. Rajesh wrote the dialogues for the film. It was filmed in padalur, Theni, Tiruchi and Chennai. The film released on 6 September 2013 and received mixed reviews from critics and became a box office success. The film was remade in Kannada as Adyaksha with Sharan playing the lead role and in Telugu as Current Theega with Manoj Manchu.

Plot

The film begins with police arriving at Sivanandi's (Sathyaraj) house questioning him about killing his daughter Lathapandi (Sri Divya) because she ran away with the guy she loved. Bosepandi (Sivakarthikeyan) and Kodi (Soori) are two friends who are the leaders of a group called Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam. One day, Bosepandi falls in love with Kalyani (Bindu Madhavi) who is a teacher at a school. Bosepandi writes a love letter for her but wants someone to go give it to her so that's when he finds Lathapandi. Lathapandi gives the letter to her teacher and tricks Bosepandi into believing many things.

Anirudh Ravichander

Anirudh Ravichander (born 16 October 1990) is an Indian film composer and singer. He made his debut in the Tamil film, 3 directed by Aishwarya R. Dhanush. The song, "Why This Kolaveri Di", that Anirudh had composed for the Tamil film 3, went viral on YouTube and tracked more than 100 million views.

Early life

Anirudh is the son of actor Ravi Raghavendra, nephew of Rajinikanth and Latha Rajinikanth, and cousin of Aishwarya and Soundarya Rajinikanth. His mother Lakshmi is a dancer. Anirudh was a part of a band in school called Zinx. At the age of 10, he started composing music and landed his first break – '3' at the age of 21

He did his schooling at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, K.K. Nagar. He graduated from Loyola College, Chennai in 2011, which according to him was just a back up in case his music career did not take off. Anirudh learnt classical piano from Trinity College of Music, London. He also learnt Carnatic music, and was part of a Carnatic fusion band.

Maan Karate (English: Deer Karate) is a 2014 Indian Tamil fantasy film directed by Thirukumaran. It stars Sivakarthikeyan, Hansika Motwani, Soori, Vamsi Krishna and Sathish. Murugadoss wrote the story for the film, which was produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures and has music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Plot

Five IT employees, Sandy (Sathish), Joe, Gokul, Vaishnavi and Nikita, meet a siddhar who has the power to grant wishes to those who request them, during a weekend trip to the Chandragiri forest. Sandy, who is sceptical about the siddhar's powers, asks him for a copy of the Daily Thanthi newspaper dated on the day after Ayudha Puja (no newspapers are printed during Ayudha Puja). To his surprise, the siddhar materialises the requested copy. The IT gang read the materialised newspaper and find out to their shock that the company which they work for (Satyam Computers) would close down the next day. When this does happen, they accept the credibility of the newspaper and decide to make money through it. While Nikita is reading the paper, she sees an article where one Peter who stays in Royapuram wins a boxing tournament on the day of Ayudha Puja and dedicates the prize money of ₹4,00,00,000 to the five of them. The IT gang is astounded on reading this news and decide to find this Peter and sponsor him for the boxing tournament, with the hope of getting ₹2,00,00,000, despite eventually finding out from the boxing association that the cash prize for the tournament champion is only ₹1,00,000.
