Climax is the sixth album by The Ohio Players and the last they would record for the Detroit-based Westbound label. They were signed to Mercury by the time Climax hit stores, perhaps the reason why it features only five new songs (with the other three pulled from previous albums). Their Mercury debut, Skin Tight, was released several months earlier.
Along with six originals, the album includes cover versions of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Proud Mary" and Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On", adding to the group's already growing repertoire.
Climax is the first album by Finland-based band Beastmilk.
Climax is 2013 Indian Malayalam biographical film directed by Anil Kumar and featuring Sana Khan in the lead. Climax depicts the life of erotic actress Silk Smitha. The film was dubbed into Tamil titled "Oru Nadigayin Diary" and released on 24 May 2013. But the disclaimer in the beginning states that the characters are imaginary.
Climax tells the story of Supriya, a starlet. She meets RK who wins her heart and later becomes her mentor. The film takes a twist when RK's son Rahul is infatuated by Supriya.
The film opened to negative reviews. Paresh C Palicha of Rediff.com writes "Climax is slow paced and uninteresting" and goes on to give 1/5.
The hazel (Corylus) is a genus of deciduous trees and large shrubs native to the temperate Northern Hemisphere. The genus is usually placed in the birch family Betulaceae, though some botanists split the hazels (with the hornbeams and allied genera) into a separate family Corylaceae. The fruit of the hazel is the hazelnut.
Hazels have simple, rounded leaves with double-serrate margins. The flowers are produced very early in spring before the leaves, and are monoecious, with single-sex catkins, the male catkins are pale yellow and 5–12 cm long, and the female ones are very small and largely concealed in the buds, with only the bright-red, 1-to-3 mm-long styles visible. The fruits are nuts 1–2.5 cm long and 1–2 cm diameter, surrounded by an involucre (husk) which partly to fully encloses the nut.
The shape and structure of the involucre, and also the growth habit (whether a tree or a suckering shrub), are important in the identification of the different species of hazel.
The pollen of hazel species, which are often the cause for allergies in late winter or early spring, can be identified under magnification (600X) by their characteristic granular exines bearing three conspicuous pores.
Planet Waves is the fourteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on January 17, 1974 by Asylum Records in the United States and Island Records in the United Kingdom.
Dylan is supported on the album by longtime collaborators the Band, with whom he embarked on a major reunion tour following its release (documented on the live album Before the Flood) (the tour started a couple weeks before release—though Asylum did want the album out first). With a successful tour and a host of publicity, Planet Waves was a hit, enjoying a brief stay at #1 on the US Billboard charts—a first for the artist—and #7 in the UK. Critics were not as negative as they had been with some then-recent Bob Dylan albums (namely Self Portrait and Dylan), but still not enthusiastic for the album's brand of laid-back roots rock.
The album was originally set to be titled Ceremonies of the Horsemen, a reference to the song "Love Minus Zero/No Limit", from the 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home; the release was delayed two weeks when Dylan decided to change the title at the last minute. Another, earlier working title was Wedding Song.
Hazel is the seventh album by the experimental rock band Red Krayola, released on November 19, 1996 through Drag City.
"Booty" is a song recorded by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez for her eighth studio album, A.K.A. (2014). It was written and produced by Cory Rooney, Lopez, and Benny Medina, with additional writing from Chris Brown, Asia Bryant, Pitbull, Diplo, Lewis D. Gittus, Tedra Renee Wilson, and Danny Omerhodic. "Booty" samples "Dat a Freak", a song by Diplo and Swick, and it features Lopez's frequent collaborator Pitbull. It was released as the third single from the album on September 23, 2014. Initially entitled "Big Booty", the song was first rejected by Lopez who did not like the idea of having a song with a title like that. However, after playing the demo for her kids, they enjoyed the track and Lopez was convinced to record the track.
"Booty" is a dance track, with middle eastern vibe, heavy percussion and Oriental keyboard riff, while its lyrics portrait Lopez inviting girls to the dancefloor to have a good time and dance, while shaking their buttocks. The song received generally favorable reviews from music critics, with many complimenting the song's fun nature, the dance environment and Pitbull's appearance, but a few dismissed its concept. Commercially, "Booty" performed moderately worldwide. It became a top twenty hit in the United States, charting at number eighteen on the US Billboard Hot 100, and entered the top forty in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, among other music markets.
