No covers, no arrangements, no mindless meandering improvisations, no wishy washy arpeggios and repetitive chords, just carefully crafted piano compositions written for pianists as well as lovers of piano music. My music is classically-based, but incorporates elements of contemporary, film and new age genres. These compositions are best described as "classical crossover". During the composition process, I write out every note, and although I use notation software, I compose in a traditional way just like the great composers of the past. Once a piece is complete, I practice and learn it just as I would a work by Beethoven or Bach. Each of my videos is the culmination of many, many hours of work. The most rewarding aspect of my work is knowing that pianists all over the world are performing my compositions. If more people sit down to practice their pianos rather than being glued to television, news, social media and the like, the world will truly be a better place. The reaction to this music was extremely positive right from the beginning, and it was clear that people enjoyed not only the technical aspects of the music, but the energy and excitement within each piece. People of all ages, cultures, genders and backgrounds commented about how they were profoundly moved by these compositions, so I continued to write more of them. I received many emails from pianists with questions about how to play these pieces, so I decided to write “Secrets To Better Piano Playing” to offer as much advice as possible to those who wanted to learn my music.
