Longfield is a village and civil parish in the Dartford Borough of Kent, England. It borders the Sevenoaks District. It is located south west of Gravesend. It contains several shops, a pub, a 14th-century church and is recorded in the Domesday Book and Anglo-Saxon charters of 964-995.
The place in Kent is recorded as 'Langanfelda' in the Saxon Charters of 964-995, and as 'Langafel' in the Domesday Book of 1086.
It had been proposed by town planner Patrick Abercrombie as part of the Greater London Plan in the mid-1940s to build a new town in the Longfield area, however other satellite areas around London were selected instead.
Longfield and New Barn is a civil parish named after the adjacent villages it covers, the eastern part being New Barn, it also covers the smaller settlement, the neighbourhood of Longfield Hill. Longfield is the ancient village, situated on the road between Dartford and Meopham; the historic church there is dedicated to St Mary Magdalene. New Barn is larger in population than Longfield, although has little in the way of services, being a comparatively recent development and purely residential in nature.
Robert "Bob" Longfield is an American composer, arranger, conductor and educator, best known for his compositions for Concert Band and String Orchestra.
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he graduated with honors from the University of Michigan where he studied with Jerry Bilik and Paul Boylan, and was a member of the band under William D. Revelli and George Cavender where he played saxophone. He received his master's degree in Music Education from the University of Miami where he was a student and personal friend of Alfred Reed.
For fifteen years, Longfield was the band and orchestra director at Davison High School in Davison, Michigan. Since 1987, he has held a similar position at Miami Palmetto Senior High School in Pinecrest, Florida. Longfield was the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award by the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association. In 1996, he received the Mr. Holland Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and Sciences for outstanding contributions to music education.
Long Field Academy (formerly Longfield School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, England. It used to be a high school as designated within the Leicestershire Plan. It was reorganised along with the whole of Melton Mowbray in 2008.
There are 600 students at the school, which has risen from 400 when it was a middle school.
In January 2015 it was announced that Long Field Academy would be joining with the Spencer Academies Trust. This trust is made of eight schools and is led by Susan Jowett of George Spencer Academy Nottinghamshire. It was also announced in February 2015 that Christopher Haggett (current Vice Principal of George Spencer Academy) would be the new Principal of Long Field starting on June 1, 2015.
The newest building is called the Hampson Centre. It has a sports hall, sport science centre and classrooms where year 11 are based. It is named after a former student, Matt Hampson, who was paralysed whilst playing rugby with the England under 21 side.
The James Bond series focuses on a fictional British Secret Service agent created in 1953 by writer Ian Fleming, who featured him in twelve novels and two short-story collections. Since Fleming's death in 1964, eight other authors have written authorised Bond novels or novelizations: Kingsley Amis, Christopher Wood, John Gardner, Raymond Benson, Sebastian Faulks, Jeffery Deaver, William Boyd and Anthony Horowitz. The latest novel is Trigger Mortis by Anthony Horowitz, published in September 2015. Additionally Charlie Higson wrote a series on a young James Bond, and Kate Westbrook wrote three novels based on the diaries of a recurring series character, Moneypenny.
The character has also been adapted for television, radio, comic strip, video games and film. The films are the longest continually running and the third-highest-grossing film series to date, which started in 1962 with Dr. No, starring Sean Connery as Bond. As of 2016, there have been twenty-four films in the Eon Productions series. The most recent Bond film, Spectre (2015), stars Daniel Craig in his fourth portrayal of Bond; he is the sixth actor to play Bond in the Eon series. There have also been two independent productions of Bond films: Casino Royale (a 1967 spoof) and Never Say Never Again (a 1983 remake of an earlier Eon-produced film, Thunderball).

Dover is a town and major ferry port in the home county of Kent, in South East England. It faces France across the strait of Dover, the narrowest part of the English Channel, and lies south-east of Canterbury; east of Kent's county town Maidstone; and north-east along the coastline from Dungeness and Hastings. The town is the administrative centre of the Dover District and home of the Dover Calais ferry through the Port of Dover. The surrounding chalk cliffs are known as the White Cliffs of Dover. Its strategic position has been evident throughout its history: archaeological finds have revealed that the area has always been a focus for peoples entering and leaving Britain. The name of the town derives from the name of the river that flows through it, the River Dour. The town has been inha...

Casner Mountain Trail #8 is an 8 mile long trail open to 4x4 travel via a special use permit from the Coconino national Forest. It follows the power lines that divide Sycamore Canyon Wilderness and Secret Mountain Wilderness. The trail is locked at both ends by massive gates. The video starts at the base of Casner Mountain, and gains nearly 1600' of elevation before stopping at the top to admire the expansive views into the Verde Valley, Sycamore Canyon, and other mountain ranges over 80 miles distant. These videos don't show the best part of this route - the incredible scenery into both wilderness areas. I should have shut off the camera when we stopped to look over the canyons - if I had, it probably would have been able to film the entire route. The other 4 videos were trimmed from th...
So its been 12 whole months since we left the UK, the time really hasn't gone fast at all.. In fact its gone quite slow!! This past year has felt like a lifetime in Australia, but that's what happens when you change your routine all the time. We have had 4 different jobs in that time and are just about to start new ones, travelled to beautiful islands, partook in a cannabis festival, took shelter for two days while a massive storm destroyed the camp ground we were staying at, hitch hiked up the east coast, watched whales migrate to warmer seas, spent Christmas on a isolated desert island, jumped out of a plane and so much more!! So here we go, enjoy 1 year of travel in 1 minute :D Head over to our blog: http://www.nomaderhowfar.com Feel like supporting us? https://www.patreon.com/nomad...
