The Man in the High Castle by Philip K Dick Audiobook
The Man in the High Castle (1962) is an alternate history novel by American writer Philip K. Dick. The novel is set in 1962, fifteen years after the end of a fictional longer Second World War (1939–1947). It concerns intrigues between the victorious Axis Powers—Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany—as they rule over the former U.S., as well as daily life under the resulting totalitarian Fascist and imperialistic rule. Reported inspirations for the work include Ward Moore's alternate Civil War history, Bring the Jubilee (1953), various classic World War II histories, and the I Ching (which is referenced in the novel). The novel includes the construction of a novella within the novel that constitutes an alternate history within this alternate history (wherein the Allied Powers defeat the Axis Powers, though in a manner distinct from this actual historical outcome). The Man in the High Castle won a Science Fiction Achievement Award (Hugo Award) in 1963. It has since been translated into many languages,[not verified in body] and a recent pilot episode of a television adaptation (January 15, 2015) from Amazon Studios has been greenlighted to run as a series. Various further short works by the same author are reported to serve as followup information (short of constituting an actual sequel).

The Cougars (3-0, 1-0 American Athletic) trailed 16-12 early in the fourth quarter before Ward and the defense took over. Ward had the scoring runs to regain the lead, and the Cougars returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns to close it out.
Ward sat out a 42-0 win over Lamar on Saturday with a sore shoulder. He came through pregame warmups fine Thursday and dispelled any worries about his arm with a 39-yard touchdown pass on the Cougars' second series.
Houston's defense took away any semblance of a running game from Cincinnati (2-1, 0-1) and accounted for 16 points on its own -- a safety and the two interception returns.
The Cougars haven't allowed any of their last five opponents to rush for 100 yards. Cincinnati managed only 30 yards rushing, putting too much pressure on redshirt sophomore Hayden Moore.

Here however, I tried to imagine a scenario as different from all others as possible, it was difficult, but I managed it, although a little chaotic see to the end and you will be really surprised! lol

Lee serves as a main character in the Shaara Family novels The Killer Angels (Gettysburg), Gods and Generals, and The Last Full Measure, as well as the film adaptations of Gettysburg and Gods and Generals. He is played by Martin Sheen in the former and his descendant Robert Duvall in the latter. Lee is portrayed as a hero in the historical children's novel Lee and Grant at Appomattox by MacKinlay Kantor. His part in the Civil War is told from the perspective of his horse in Richard Adams' book Traveller.
Lee is an obvious subject for American Civil War alternate histories. Ward Moore's Bring the Jubilee, Kantor's If the South Had Won the Civil War (1960), and Harry Turtledove's The Guns of the South, all have Lee ending up as President of a victorious Confederacy and freeing the slaves (or laying the groundwork for the slaves to be freed in a later decade). Although Bring and If relegate him to a set of passing references, Lee is more of a main character in the Guns. He is also the prime character of Turtledove's "Lee at the Alamo," which can be read on-line here, and sees the opening of the Civil War drastically altered so as to affect Lee's personal priorities considerably. Turtledove's "War Between the Provinces" series is an allegory of the Civil War told in the language of fairy tales, with Lee appearing as a knight named "Duke Edward of Arlington." Lee is also a knight in "The Charge of Lee's Brigade" in Alternate Generals volume 1, written by Turtledove's friend S.M. Stirling and featuring Lee, whose Virginia is still a loyal British colony, fighting for the Crown against the Russians in Crimea. In Lee Allred's "East of Appomattox" in Alternate Generals volume 3, Lee is the Confederate Minister to London circa 1868, desperately seeking help for a CSA which has turned out poorly suited to independence. Robert Skimin's Grey Victory features Lee as a supporting character preparing to run for the presidency in 1867.

Ward Moore
Ward Moore (August 10, 1903 – January 28, 1978) was the working name of American writer Joseph Ward Moore. According to The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, "he contributed only infrequently to the field, [but] each of his books became something of a classic."
Writer
Moore began publishing with the novel Breathe the Air Again (1942), about the onset of the Great Depression. The story is told from multiple viewpoints, and Ward Moore himself appears briefly as a character in the novel.
His most famous work is the alternate history novel Bring the Jubilee (1953). This novel, narrated by Hodge Backmaker, tells of a world in which the South won the American Civil War, leaving the North in ruins.
Moore's other novels include Cloud By Day, in which a brush fire threatens a town in Topanga Canyon; Greener Than You Think, a novel about unstoppable Bermuda Grass; Joyleg (co-authored with Avram Davidson), which assumes the survival of the State of Franklin; and Caduceus Wild (co-authored with Robert Bradford), about a medarchy, a nation governed by physicians.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be among the royals paying tribute to the Queen in a TV documentary for her 90th birthday. ITV said the film would screen in the spring, and also announced plans for The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebration - a live event hosted by Ant and Dec. The event in Windsor Castle's grounds will feature some 900 horses. The BBC also announced its plans, including a "landmark documentary" and three days of live events in June. The Queen's 90th will be marked with a weekend of national celebrations around the time of her official birthday in June, following events earlier in the year to mark the day she was born - 21 April 1926.
BBC One's coverage of three days of live events starts on Friday 10 June with a service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral.
That will be followed on the Saturday by the Trooping the Colour ceremony, with the weekend celebrations coming to a close on Sunday with the Patron's Lunch on The Mall, where 10,000 people will gather to celebrate the Queen's patronage of more than 600 charities and organisations.
The corporation also promises a BBC One documentary, documentaries on Radio 2 and the World Service, and coverage on BBC News outlets around the country.
"The BBC is offering an unrivalled range and breadth of programmes to mark Her Majesty 90th birthday," said Charlotte Moore, controller of TV Channels and iPlayer.
"This is a significant moment for the nation and the BBC will be right at the heart of the celebrations."
In May, ITV will broadcast live The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebration, which will tell her life story from her birth in 1926 through her coronation in 1953 and her reign spanning more than 60 years.
Hosts Ant and Dec said they were "honoured".
The presenting duo added: "This spectacular evening will bring together some of the best-known names in the entertainment world."
Hosted by the Royal Windsor Horse Show, the event will feature hundreds of participants from around the world, including The Oman Royal Cavalry, The New Zealand Army Band, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Azerbaijan Cossack Riders, South Australian Police Band and The Fijian Army Dancers and Band.
The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, 100 Military and Commonwealth Pipers and The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment will also perform.
