From Robert Downey Jr. to Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg and Mark Ruffalo to Martin Sheen, Stanley Tucci, James Franco, Neil Patrick Harris, Julianne Moore, Nathan Fillion, Rosie Perez, Tarran Killam, and Bradley Whitford. From Joss Whedon super-PAC that supports Hillary Clinton, Without mentioning a particular name, the ad slams Donald Trump supporters as racist, and urges voters to cast their votes for Hillary Clinton. The ad was innovative in its use of celebrity endorsements, while giving Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson prime spots, it alternates and repeats lines between the celebs featured, and pokes fun at itself filling in with actors portraying regular, but sincere, people. KATE SNOW: Ted Cruz, the senator from Texas, coming out with a Facebook post just now saying, “After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided on election day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.” That of course, months coming now. Ted Cruz had for quite a while been reluctant to say those words even though he said he would support the Republican nominee, he had not said that he would indeed vote for Donald Trump. In a lengthy post on his Facebook page saying the election is like “none other in our nation’s history,” that he “struggled to determine the right course of action.” He comes to the conclusion that he will vote for Donald Trump. He says he intends to keep his word to support the Republican nominee. And secondly he said, “Even though I’ve had areas of significant disagreement with our nominee, by any measure, Hillary Clinton is wholly unacceptable and that’s why I have always been #NeverHillary."

Ted Cruz
Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz (born December 22, 1970) is an American politician and the junior United States Senator from Texas. He is a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States, in the 2016 presidential election.
Cruz graduated from Princeton University in 1992, and from Harvard Law School in 1995. Between 1999 and 2003, Cruz was the director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an associate deputy attorney general at the United States Department of Justice, and domestic policy advisor to President George W. Bush on the 2000 George W. Bush presidential campaign. He served as Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 to 2008, appointed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. He was the first Hispanic, and the longest-serving solicitor general, in Texas history. From 2004 to 2009, Cruz was also an adjunct professor of law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation.
Cruz ran for the Senate seat vacated by fellow Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison, and in July 2012 defeated Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst during the Republican primary runoff, 57%–43%. Cruz then defeated former state Representative Paul Sadler in the November 2012 general election, winning 56%–41%. He is the first Hispanic American to serve as a U.S. senator representing Texas, and is one of three Senators of Cuban descent. Cruz chairs the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight, Federal Rights and Agency Activities, and is also the chairman of the United States Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness. In November 2012, he was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Donald Trump
Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessperson and media personality. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's career, branding efforts, personal life, wealth, and outspoken manner have made him famous throughout the country. Since 2015, he is also a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
Trump is a native of New York City and a son of Fred Trump, who inspired him to enter real estate development. After two years at Fordham University and while studying at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Trump worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son. Upon graduating in 1968 he joined the company, and in 1971 was given control, renaming the company "The Trump Organization". Since then he has built hotels, golf courses, and other properties, many of which bear his name. He is a major figure in the American business scene and has received prominent media exposure. The NBC reality show The Apprentice bolstered his fame, and his three marriages were extensively reported in tabloids.

The Senate of the Philippines on Monday voted 16-4 to declare the Senate committee on justice and human rights chaired by Sen. Leila de Lima vacant. Senate Majority Leader Vicente "Tito" Sotto moved to nominate Senator Dick Gordon as the new chairman of the committee, which the latter accepted.
The Senate on Monday voted to oust Senator Leila de Lima from the chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
Sixteen senators voted to approve Senator Manny Pacquiao's motion for the Senate to declare the committee chairmanship and membership vacant.
Four voted against and two abstained.
Senate Majority Leader Vicente "Tito" Sotto moved to nominate Senator Richard Gordon as the new chairman of the committee, which the latter accepted.
With no opposition, Gordon was declared as the new chairperson of the panel.
Gordon, in accepting the chairmanship, promised an "objective" hand as the head of the committee.
Pacquiao made the motion to declare De Lima’s vacant after Senator Alan Peter Cayetano accused De Lima of being biased against President Rodrigo Duterte.
Pacquiao and Cayetano are both close allies of Duterte.
The motion to declare De Lima’s panel vacant was then discussed by the senators in a one-hour caucus.
After the meeting, the motion was taken up, and was opposed by De Lima’s allies, Senate President Pro-Tempore Franklin Drilon and Senator Risa Hontiveros.
“We believe there is no basis for the motion,” Drilon said.
The committee on justice is holding a probe on alleged extrajudicial killings and summary executions amid the Duterte administration’s war on drugs.
Sotto said the probe on the killings attributed to Duterte's war on drugs will continue.
De Lima will remain a member of the committee, along with Pacquiao, Cayetano, Pangilinan, and Senators Miguel Zubiri and Grace Poe.
