An archive is an accumulation of historical records or the physical place they are located. Archives contain primary source documents that have accumulated over the course of an individual or organization's lifetime, and are kept to show the function of that person or organization. Professional archivists and historians generally understand archives to be records that have been naturally and necessarily generated as a product of regular legal, commercial, administrative or social activities. They have been metaphorically defined as "the secretions of an organism", and are distinguished from documents that have been consciously written or created to communicate a particular message to posterity.
In general, archives consist of records that have been selected for permanent or long-term preservation on grounds of their enduring cultural, historical, or evidentiary value. Archival records are normally unpublished and almost always unique, unlike books or magazines for which many identical copies exist. This means that archives are quite distinct from libraries with regard to their functions and organization, although archival collections can often be found within library buildings.
Dreams are successions of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that occur usually involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not definitively understood, though they have been a topic of scientific speculation, as well as a subject of philosophical and religious interest, throughout recorded history. The scientific study of dreams is called oneirology.
Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep—when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake. REM sleep is revealed by continuous movements of the eyes during sleep. At times, dreams may occur during other stages of sleep. However, these dreams tend to be much less vivid or memorable.
The length of a dream can vary; they may last for a few seconds, or approximately 20–30 minutes. People are more likely to remember the dream if they are awakened during the REM phase. The average person has three to five dreams per night, and some may have up to seven; however, most dreams are immediately or quickly forgotten. Dreams tend to last longer as the night progresses. During a full eight-hour night sleep, most dreams occur in the typical two hours of REM.
A dream is an experience during sleep.

Since I find POP CULTURE stuff Fascinating including all 1990's related things, I thought it would be necessary to re construct the events of the INFAMOUS "White Ford Bronco" OJ Simpson car chase as well as the events leading up to the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson & Ronald Goldman at Nicole's condo on S. Bundy Drive. The date of me documenting this footage was Friday, June 17, 2016, exactly 22 years later from the date of the car chase, Friday, June 17, 1994. Also since Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world, I thought it would be cool to show everyone the 1. HOUSE Marilyn Monroe Died In. 2. The House From The Movie "Knocked Up". 3. Scene from Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams Opening Credits. I made this video for NON-PROFIT/NON-COMMERCIAL USE to be used for Educatio...
Since Michael Phelps has more gold medals than any other Olympic athlete in history (21 and counting), it’s almost hard to imagine the time when the record-setting swimmer was still dreaming of his first. CBS Baltimore affiliate WJZ on Wednesday dusted off a 15-year-old video from the archives showing Phelps, a Maryland native, talking about his hopes for gold in the coming years. Half a lifetime ago, Phelps told the station his other big concerns were adjusting to the new time zones when swimming abroad and getting his learner’s permit to drive. The interview came a year after Phelps made his Olympic debut at the 2000 Sydney games. At 15, Phelps was youngest American male to make the USA swim team in 68 years. Phelps went home from Sydney without medaling ― only to roar back at the 2...

On this episode of Collider TV Talk (May 23rd, 2016) Josh Macuga, David Griffin, Sinéad de Vries and Sasha Perl-Raver discuss the following: -Ewan McGregor joins Fargo -Michael Lombardo exits HBO -Cary Fukunaga to direct Stanley Kubrick's Napoleon miniseries for HBO -CBS reveals Star Trek series logo -Superhero rundown -Highlights and lowlights -Pilot Review: Preacher Last week Entertainment Weekly broke the story that Ewan McGregor will be the lead in the 3rd season of FX’s Anthology series Fargo. There is a twist, however; the Trainspotting and Star Wars actor will play two characters, brothers in fact, described with the first brother playing a parking lot king of Minnesota, who sees himself as an American success story; with the other brother balding and pot-bellied; the kind o...

"The American Dream" has been one of the most popular and colorful professional wrestlers in history. Rhodes began wrestling in the 1960s and gained a reputation as a fast-talking, hard-rocking wrestler. He teamed early in his career with fellow Texan, the late Dick Murdoch, and, for more than 20 years, they wreaked havoc in on- and off-again tag team appearances. Rhodes, always a tough brawler with a few "scientific" moves, finally won his first NWA World heavyweight championship by beating "Handsome" Harley Race in 1979. This album is so grossly underappreciated it's not even funny. I think this album is total genius. ASH RA TEMPEL was never known for a steady lineup, the band lost vocalist John L. from their previous album (I heard stories that John L.'s previous band, AGITATION FREE thought he was so far out there that they had to give him the boot, and apparently ASH RA TEMPEL felt the same). For an organist, they brought in Steve Schroyder, who previously appeared on TANGERINE DREAM's "Alpha Centauri" (and also Zeit, but only as a guest). And of course, it wouldn't be ASH RA TEMPEL without guitarist Manuel Göttsching, plus bassist Hartmut Enke is still here. This album features none other than Timothy Leary, the famous LSD guru! He was in exile in Switzerland, and in fact, ASH RA TEMPEL had to record t...
