I traveled to Riga for only 4 days and managed to see and do a lot in that short given timeframe. Riga is the largest city of the Baltics and offers a lot of cool things to do in Riga itself but also just a short train ride out of the center in Sigulda.
This video showcases the combination of a city trip and and action packed day out in the nature. My personal highlight has been the flight in the vertical wind tunnel "Aerodium" near Sigulda - if you feel like you can even go Bungee Jumping there.

For travellers, the best thing about Latvia is that it is so compact. Riga
Riga (/ˈriːɡə/; Latvian: Rīga, pronounced [ˈriːɡa]) is the capital and the largest city of Latvia. With 641,007 inhabitants (2015), Riga is the largest city of the Baltic states and home to one third of Latvia's population. The city lies on the Gulf of Riga, at the mouth of the Daugava. Riga's territory covers 307.17 km2 (118.60 sq mi) and lies between 1 and 10 metres (3.3 and 32.8 ft) above sea level, on a flat and sandy plain.
Riga was founded in 1201 and is a former Hanseatic League member. Riga's historical centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, noted for its Art Nouveau/Jugendstil architecture and 19th century wooden architecture. Riga was the European Capital of Culture during 2014, along with Umeå in Sweden. Riga hosted the 2006 NATO Summit, the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, and the 2006 IIHF Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. It is home to the European Union's office of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC). Riga is served by Riga International Airport, the largest airport in the Baltic states.

I traveled to Riga for only 4 days and managed to see and do a lot in that short given timeframe. Riga is the largest city of the Baltics and offers a lot of cool things to do in Riga itself but also just a short train ride out of the center in Sigulda.
This video showcases the combination of a city trip and and action packed day out in the nature. My personal highlight has been the flight in the vertical wind tunnel "Aerodium" near Sigulda - if you feel like you can even go Bungee Jumping there.

In my travel channel, I share my own trip videos from my journeys. Until now, I traveled around 40 countries and I produced 10.000 stock footage. I am professional traveler and videographer, working many microstock footage companies. In my youtube videos, I try to combine my stock footages by locations, cities and/or countries and try to show people what did I see and I experienced. This is my video blog, a videoblog without narration. I show people what to see, what to do, where to go, when to go, different activities, best attractions, main sightseeing places, famous sights etc. I try to choose happy travel music. Also I am a backpacker, so I travel very cheap. I like to interact with local people, indigenous lifestyle, view of daily life on streets, panorama scenes. You can also night life view. The Germans founded Rīga in 1201, establishing it as the largest and most powerful city on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. After independence in 1918, Latvia achieved considerable results in social development, economy, industry and agriculture. It has always been a multicultural melting point, where foreigners and locals worked together and brought prosperity to the country. On June 16, 1940, Vyacheslav Molotov presented the Latvian representative in Moscow with an ultimatum accusing Latvia of violations of that pact, and on June 17 Soviet forces occupied the country. Elections for a "People's Saeima" were held, and a puppet government headed by Augusts Kirhenšteins led Latvia into the USSR. The annexation was formalized on August 5, 1940. During the time of the Iron Curtain, Latvia was a province of the Soviet Union, but the concentration of heavy industry was enormous. Contacts with the West were regulated. The Baltic region had the reputation of being the most urbanized and having the highest literacy rate in the Soviet Union. Latvia gained independence on September 6, 1991. Between 1991 and 2007 the country saw unprecedented economic growth. However, the global recession and the banking crisis hit Latvia brutally, and severe economic contraction and destructively high unemployment have returned.
Because of a tribal past and divisions between occupying nations, there are regional differences between parts of Latvia which are interesting to explore.
